Peter, you've really inspired me to do paper art. I'm still learning very basic skills, but it's amazing how quickly I've become able to make beautiful sculptural shapes. Someone offered me $25 for one of my cards today. I said yes. Thank you!
Hi Peter: I wanted to thank you sharing this template for all of us. I have made these for the past two years and everyone has thoroughly enjoyed them. From the all white pattern, I used a metallic gold paper and embossed the lines of the snowflake and it was outstanding. It is so generous of you to share your patterns. I have a question about paper weights and sizes. Should I buy 17x22 paper to make this or would 8.5x11 paper work just fine? Also, do you know how to convert lbs to g/m^2? I looked online, but when I tryied various converters, I got completely different conversions than I was expecting.

This is the new tutorial you were talking about. Printed it just a minute ago and this is a nice one for the x-mas menu's, in the top of the folding menu :) Will use an image of an X-mas tree instead and will make pictures to share. Thanks Peter.

What a marvelous tutorial. Very clear and friendly. And thank you so much for sharing the template file with us. A few Christmases have come and gone since you last made this video for us but with paper engineering is we can have the same creative fun years later without any upgrade/version deprecation stress to get our scissors, glue and paper to work. Hurray! :)

What kind of glue is best to use for paper? Some warps the paper and some comes undone easily. What is that you use on your work?
Okay. I understand. Defiantly important points to help aim me in the right direction. I see what you mean especially if you get into colored paper. I wonder now if that is why you often work in white paper. Printer paper seems to be a little waxy compared to art paper. Also something I had not considered. Thank you for the great advice and time to reply. You have given me things to think on.
Ich habe den Stern im Kopierer etwas verkleinert, damit er zu meinem vorhandenen Papier passt. Hat super funktioniert und sieht toll aus.

Ja, das Motiv lässt sich sogar noch DEUTLICH stärker verkleinern und funktioniert dann noch immer. Ich habe schon Sterne angefertigt, die einen Durchmesser von nur 7 Zentimetern haben. Lediglich die Papierstärke sollte bei sehr kleinen Versionen nicht mehr sehr dick sein. Ich wünsche Ihnen weiterhin viel Freude bei der Anfertigung von Pop-Up Karten. Herzlcihe Grüße, Peter Dahmen
