The problem with Halfords tools is the 10mm and 13mm sockets and spanners always hide and I can never find them when I need them. Not an issue with the chinese crap that's also in the drawer...!

Probably a bit late to the party here Dave, but the Mk l RS had a 3.77 diff ratio but the Mk2 RS2000 had a 3.54 diff ratio. Wonder if you chose any of those ratio's ?

bang on there dave 1/2 shafts go back in same,when i was on recovery i used to mark the n/s ones with yellow paint so i knew which went where,i like to make my own tools and i did a video on them,wow i dont think i ever seen a diff like that its been very much abused by the look of it,whoever was driving the car would have had to turn the radio well up to cover up the noise,lol.
