  • In 1999, in University Place, Washington, south of Seattle, Marcus Knight was born with a dream-to become an NFL football player. Raised by his African American mother and Caucasian father, Marcus held onto this dream from kindergarten, to high school in Southern California, and all the way to college, where he dominated at the Division One level as a running back. Known for his kind, nice, and good-looking personality, Marcus garnered support from his parents every step of the way. My encounter with Marcus' father occurred when I had to travel to Florida for a theater play. As luck would have it, we found ourselves seated together on the plane, engaging in conversation effortlessly. Marcus' father beamed with pride as he spoke about his son. Upon seeing a picture of Marcus, I was struck by his potential and immediately offered to introduce him to a modeling agency. We exchanged numbers, and then realized we were neighbors in Dana Point, California. Finally meeting Marcus in person confirmed everything his father had described. I'm committed to opening doors for Marcus in the modeling industry, despite the challenging road he faces leading up to the 2024 NFL draft in April. With unwavering certainty, I believe Marcus will be drafted, allowing him to pursue both his football career and modeling aspirations. Marcus, if I could reach my dream coming from Afghanistan, I have no doubt you can achieve yours. With love and peace, your brother, Fahim Fazli.
