I really like my Enve aero bars because they can mount to an aero profile bar. I use them for endurance gravel races up to 200mi. I rely on them both for speed and comfort. They really make a difference for me on rides over about 20mi since, even with bike fit, my hands start to go numb unless I can rest. I also feel more powerful on flats in the lower position. fwiw - thanks a whole bunch for putting a $900(!) bar on my radar. Just what I needed while saving up for a MTB lol!
@@losFondos for some reason someone else asked me but I can only see their message in my notifications. I will upload today. I made two models of a 30mm spacer. My latest version has a 15% infill and is in PETG.
LOVE my aero bars, I have the T2 Profile Cobra with a 40mm lift, game changer. primarily for comfort but wonderful aero bonus! How comfortable, well enough to be able to begin to fall asleep on them... (not recommended...). I have the Profile Aero Bridge for mounting my Garmin.
I didn’t bother with drops on my most recent bike. Just made a custom H bar from a section of 31.8 seatpost with aero bars on the ends at shoulder width. Brake levers and shifters on the aero bars and interrupter brake levers on the centre section for riding upright. Shoulder width aero bars more comfortable for me as, after body building, I can’t roll my shoulders in tightly any more. Still pretty aero. Eliminating the drops helps with aerodynamics too. Used flat bar trigger shifters - much cheaper than STIs.
Thanks for the video which I find very informative. How many mm of spacer did you use on your profile design aero bar, i.e. is there a fix point for the height adjustment like a couple of mm above saddle?
Thank you. After watching your video, I bought the Deda Jet One and they're amazing. Could you pls let me know the other mount on your right hand bar. One left, you've got wahoo, what is the other one. How /where did you get the closing caps for both bars
Thank you. Can you please let me know what handle bar you're using. Since the Deda Jet 1 needs deda handle bar, Did you upgrade the handle bar too ? Please let me know the handle bar you're using for these Deda Jet 1 bars
Aerobars twice the price of my bike.. yeah that won;t happen :-) I'll stick with my cheapo Chinese ones, because I DO like Aerobars! It is indeed the best thing you can buy for both speed and comfort (IMO)
Another great video. Thanks for the inspiration. How does the Cyclite Handle Bar Aero Bag fit on your Deda Jet One? I noticed that the bag appears to be sitting quite far away from the stem.
I was hoping to get a tip on an aerobar that will fit an aero handlebar. I would like to try an aerobar but it seems that all the aerobars on the market are made for round handlebars 😥
Thats tru but you can use an aero handle bar that has enough rounded surfasce to clip the aerobars, the one from profile desing dvr/ aero is great has aeroprofile and you can use any aerobars with it. I leave a link below profile-design.com/products/drv-aero-a
Hi, I can see that you're using aero bars Risers. I was wondering how tall they are (70 mm ?). Do you use risers to avoid a hip rotation and gaining some space on your handlebar at the same time ? Thank you for your videos, great content.
Thank you, I use the Spacers/risers of around 40mm to make the aerobars more upright so i dont have to lift my nect all the time to see where I am going and make it more comfortable ^^ safe rides
Om going on a LONG bikepacking trip and have just bought the Profile design T3+ aerobars! How many milimeter spacing/rise do you use or would recommend?
She uses profile design base kit (probably from her 2nd kit in the vid). Profile design has risers kit proprietary for their base clamp. Controltech is another one i can think of also has base clamps and riser kits. Unfortunately if you are using generic kit of aliexpress, decathlon etc, you cant use the risers
I had a set of aero bars on an older 12-speed bike which I no longer have. I was okay going in a straight line but I was a little worried about the loss of control with respect to steering in sudden situations. Do you find that to be an issue?
Thanks, i think if you practice a lot riding in the aerobars stearing gets easier, i now can take not to sharp corners while still being in the aerobars :)

Thanks for your comment Mike ^^ yes aerobars make a big difference
The PRO clip on handlebars are my go-to. I 3D printed some spacers to get the position higher
Really cool :) I asl owant 3d printed spacers
Did you upload the file to thingiverse? Which material and infill did you use?
@@Buzzalong.cycling which size do you need?

I have the Profile bars and love them for cycling in a flat and windy region.

Thank you I am happy you like them, I use the caps that come with the Supercaz handle bar tape and mount came with it the other one was D&Y
@@Buzzalong.cyclingthank you very much for your time .
Do you use aluminium handle bar for these bars . Profile one
5:20 Love that front light. Is it bike specific?
It is the Supernova Airstream light, yes it is specific for bikes :)
Thank you. Can you please let me know what handle bar you're using. Since the Deda Jet 1 needs deda handle bar, Did you upgrade the handle bar too ? Please let me know the handle bar you're using for these Deda Jet 1 bars
Actually that bar can be adapted to lots of generic base clamps (see 4:47 for the mount plate)
it comes also with a normal clamp, i use in the vision a prfile desing handlebar the DV aero i think
@BuzzAlong Where did you get that Garmin mount for your Aero Bars and what kind of brand is it?
thank you, the mount comes with the aerobars included

Thank you 🙏 you strap it to your handlebar and aerobars but the position depends a bit of the aerobars and angle you have
Where can I get that buzzalong t-shirt you are wearing Sherry?

Is the aerobar are good for long distance ride like 1000 mile above rides
Can i clamp the bars on the carbon handlebars? What handlebar do you have?
yes you can, in this case i have the profile desing DRV Aero
Om going on a LONG bikepacking trip and have just bought the Profile design T3+ aerobars! How many milimeter spacing/rise do you use or would recommend?
I do long distance also - started with 50mm but am now using 70mm. The higher, the more comfort!
Have fun! I normally use 2-3 spacers to keep a more upright position
@@Buzzalong.cycling how many millimetres are that?
@@srenmllerjepsen6137 around 40 mm
Enjoy your fun time ride like Eagle free, 🦅🇬🇧
Thank you :)
just want to know what the name of the thing that suspend the aerobar . i can see there is a space between your flat bar and the aerobar
yes it is a aero handle bar with clamping space for aerobars, I use the spacers of the deda jet aerobars

very interesting how the aluminium profile design bars weigh the same as the deda jet one's. I was expecting a big difference
Great point!
Can these aero bars fit to a flat handlebar? Like Tour de fer 20?
yes, you just have to look is the correct diameter 31.8
Pregunta! RedShift o Profile desing ???

how do you figure out of high the raisers need to be?
bike fit and try and error ^^
How to ride faster and more comfortable? Bachetta Carbon Aero 2.0. 🙂

6:33 this is the problem! your neck is at such an angle that it can quickly hurt! the tilt angle is bad for the human neck!
yes ^^
Hi for the deda can you use manual shifter?
There are no ITU legal aerobars anymore
