I tried to download the twrp file from the Google drive link in the info, but the files do not seem to contain a .tar file in the zip file like you selected. Odin3 wont open any of the files. Also XDA link is broken. Is there another host where I can get the twrp?

Thanks for your simple explaining and yes, finally I upgraded my very old tablet P7510 to Android 7.1.2.
I used: "odin3_v3.11.1", "twrp2870-20150814-p4wifi.tar", "MACTABROM-P7510-ONLY-Dev-DCATF-MOD-PuckRom-sept2019". I did first 2 jobs on my old Win XP computer. And at the end I had to use my Linux Mint computer to put "MACTABROM-P7510-ONLY-Dev-DCATF-MOD-PuckRom-sept2019" in my tablet because of Samsung USB driver issues on Windows.
I also downloaded the files you mentioned. they were of great help. many thanks. Thank you channel-48. Only one point that RUclips does not work it gives message there was a problem with the network (400)

About 4 hours for me as a total beginner here end to end. 15 mins to install the new ROM (android 7).

Thank you very much for the instructions I revived a tablet that we are not supposed to use anymore but it works very well now.
Step 1 install twrp2800-wifi version with Odin3 v3.12.4
Step 2 download the room that you have in the link since it was the only one that I found stable and with more improvements that were worth it and compared to 4.4.
Step 3 Patience with the loading time during the MAC PHONE 2020 logo is almost 10 minutes.
If you want to improve the charging time and use, I recommend buying a new battery since these tablets have been on the market for at least 8 years.

I have installed Naugat to Tab p7500 p4wifi. At initial I made mistake by flashing twrp 3.1 due to which naugat installations was getting stuck for long time.
I gone through the video description and comments then I flash Twrp 2.8 and Installation is succeeded in 15 mins.

This devices family are using ARM (Tegra) and fortunately XDA has custom ROM for them.
If it was Intel Atom-based device it would be like your previous video, the one with Android x86.
But if it was another ARM-based device without anyone making custom ROM for it, maybe we're out of luck.

I used "MACTABBROM-P7500-only NOUGAT" for P7510 because "MACTABBROM-P7510" didn't worked well. It has bunch of mistakes that I tried to fix but I couldn't and I couldn't install it. Thank you for this video! 🤗

Great explanantion and very helpful links. I just managed to update my 2011 P7510 - a US import back then. It didn't work anymore with the latest education apps of my children (and they need this now). I have never done something similar before and it was quite challenge - I started with 0 knowledge being far away from a nerd attitude, read a lot and finally it did work! THX Puck. Well done! The only thing not working is the playstore. but I am downloading apk files and install those via cable connection. Everything fine.

I just spent HOURS trying to do this, but just couldn't get the 7510 into Download Mode no matter what I tried. Looked around the internet, and finally, somebody mentioned in a thread where somebody else had this issue, that the pads DOWN Volume button must be bad. Sure enough, I checked while booted with the original 4.0.4, and the Down button was VERY intermittent! I messed with it with the pads Volume control on the screen, until I found the buttons "hot spot" that seemed to make it work. I was then able to power down the pad. I then pressed on the Volume DOWN button hot-spot, and held it. I then pressed the POWER button, and held BOTH until the Samsung logo came up. I then RELEASED the POWER button, and I was finally in Download mode! I then flashed Twrp, and went through the rest successfully! The upshot is: IF you can't get it into Download mode, you MAY have a faulty Volume DOWN button (which is the end closest to the Power button)

Thanks Puck and DCAtF. This worked for me for sure! Thank you so much. I bought this tablet for my dad years ago and he only wanted to start using it now. As the old os, we could not do anything with it since it is so old. Now we can use the browser and wifi at least to my fibre so that he can read his MSN news or BBC news at least! You guys are legend. I had to learn alot too while doing it.
I had to download the TWRYP MD5 file though not from your links, but by searching by the name you used in your video. Than I just downloaded from google search by that name. I did not use your zip file links though as it didnt look the same. So did a screenshot and googled search this "twrp311-20171009-p4.tar.md5". I cant even remember which site I downloaded it from but was an android file website :)
Also it takes some time to install your DCatF via twryp recovery and the MACOS to boot up, but just leave it as to remember old tables are abit slower than our newer phones now days lol. But damn actually worked and your steps were really greate and not just good. RUclips does assist us alot for sure.
My version was the P7500. So just letting you know it worked. My next steps are to configure the keyboard my dad has to plug in this and than I will see what happens from there in near future. But just getting it to work was like a victory in itself lol... Dankie so much!

Thank you so much for the ROMs you have created. Without them, my tablets would be dust. I can take one of these on a trip and have a great tablet with excellent sound while I download Netflix movies for offline use or music I have purchased and can listen to. The ones I have after this has tinny sound which is annoying while watching shows or movies. I would like to get my feet wet in creating custom ROMs, and I have a lot of learning to do before I feel comfortable doing that, but you've inspired me!

Thanks! Updating procedure works like described EXCEPT I need to use TWRP 2.8.7.0. (without wifi) instead of suggested TWRP 3.1.x because ROM flash didn't ended successfully and error 7 was reported. I have Galaxy Tab 10.1, GT-P7500.

I'm on the Mac Phone 2020 screen right now on my P-7510MA (wifi only) and things are looking good. This may have breathed new life into an old tablet that even when it was new it never got used. Hopefully we'll get some use out of it now.

it is on the device.What is odd is The playstore disappeared on the device this is what prompted me to upgrade.However, a notice about Google services keep popping up after the up grade.I tried to disable notifications to no avail.I will keep working on it.

Did you have a successful start before already? If not go back into recovery and do a wipe data factory reset and reboot - boot up may not take longer then 10 minutes max as I remember I went to make coffee and when I came back it was booting still

At 16:37, you lost me. I initially found the p4 on my laptop when you first stepped us thru twrp. I downloaded aosp 7.1-p4 and copied it over to the p4 internal storage. Then you moved to your other laptop and I don’t know where you got the files you were talking about.
I don’t want to wipe the device until I’m sure I have the right files copied over. Where did you get this Rom nougat file you created? Can you assist?

you did install gapps ? some apps depend in gapps we use this without gapps not safe to log in with your account but fine for watching live tv radio etc

I modeled them with some great apps and look and feels so it’s more usable out of the box - development is left untouched

No guys that’s not ok 👌 You have twrp installed go back into twrp do a good wipe data cache system dalvik - see in pinned get twrp 2.8 - unzip it copy img to internal - install - select below IMG so it will see the img then select it , choose recovery/ when done reboot back into twrp Wipe as above install Rom - takes 10 min and reboot can take up to 15-19 minutes - good luck

Thanks my friend for this fantastic video. I managed to install successfully. However, I am facing problems with both the playstores.
Launching 1st one called Apps gives an error "Apps keeps stopping"
I managed to download Google Docs/Drive/Chrome/Firefox/Zoom with APKPure, but none of these apps are working. They crash on open.Any way out?
Sorry for this happening very frustrating - do this Flash Rom again - then boot into the system - connect to the internet and search for Aurora Store and download latest nughtly install it use anonomous log in - and download what you need - remember apps that requier google service to be installed wont work - this is for pure custom rom users that will use the device to watch live tv or radio or browse internet - some games etc but dont use this for private accounts - if you have no other choice - only use accounts that have 2 step verification enabled and in no way use that account ever in Aurorastore - just facebook or Google etc

Ignore...I rebooted and changed to different ROM from xda forum and that worked well. Thanks a ton for this video which helped me to do this installation.
That’s not good press volume down and power until it reboots be quick at reboot to change position to vol up and power so you get into recovery mode , do advanced wipe data cache dalvik system - reinstall the Rom only reboot

hey...just finished the procedure...it worked fine,,...now I had to reboot and im stuck on a loop...goes from nougat home screen to that mac phone 2020 logo endlessly...ive used twerp 3.11...the updated one wasnt showing in odin....what am i doing wrong....tks ricardo
