Can you have these ongoing schemes up at the same time? If so, Leshen could recover 3 health every turn which is wild and would negate his poor defensive package. So looking forward to these sets!
The rules page visible at 3:20 states, "Each hero can only have one ongoing scheme at a time. If you play a second ongoing scheme, discard the current active ongoing scheme."
Another thing I’m not sure if you pointed out, but it appears that there is a zone with 4 spaces in the first map shown, I don’t believe we’ve had that before?
First, those maps are gorgeous and I want to play them all. Second, I am curious to see Leshen vs. Beowulf. Third, Imagine Eredin's Implacable vs. Little Red's What Big Ears You Have. 🤣
Ciri is my favorite deck of the bunch, but only having 13 source cards makes me think the deck can easily get bricked by the shuffle since the deck wants 5 to 9 source cards used for the payoff effects.
@loneXolf from my one time playing her it does seem like you are correct. She seems like a very inconsistent deck. When she draws well she is great and when she bricks she can suck haha
Not sure I understand the final comment about Close for the Kill in Eredin's deck. You say with the card draw and move but no action gain, you can't instantly make use of the cards you drew but if you're within 3 spaces of someone, you still have an action to use one of the cards you drew. In the late game, it can help you fish for your confirmed lethal as a double draw maneuver (that you can't boost). I think it's still really great even if you likely won't use it for it's effect all 3 times.
@@DoctorAngelicus yeah you're right that it's just a double draw maneuver. Which can be good in some cases, but I think the big boost might be more valuable to convert to damage.

Chain Lightning says Choose a zone Phillpa is in. Does that mean if she is on a multi zone space she has to choose one of those zones and not all of them?

Question about three of Ciri's cards. Concerning "Pushed to the Brink", "The Lady of Space and Time", and "Child of the Elder Blood"; do you get just one of those effects if you have enough to trigger the higher source value or both. It isn't clear to me since there is no use of words "or", "instead", or "choose one effect"? Maybe the rule book makes it clear, but I don't have that yet.
Second watching. These are pretty balanced once you go beyond the "Oh that's a boostable 7! wow" etc. Yennefer can boost that 7 up to a 10 using one of the two strongest cards on her deck, but her effect is immediate. Depending on the matchup, it's ok. Medusa or decks with recursion, can afford the double discard, specially after she boosts.
I own all the official maps and I'm 99% sure that's the first 4 zone space in the system on the fort map (looks like it's a tower of some sort). Absolutely nasty for Little Red's "Never Leave the Path" scheme card - two points of auto damage to all opposing fighters across like 80% of the board! You need Bullseye to safely snipe her off of there.

I thought summon meant “summoning to Leshen” not “summon” from being killed. Or am I completely wrong on this? Does he start with the wolves on the board?
The printed rules for the set state that when the Leshen "summons" a wolf, it can either bring back a defeated wolf or reposition an existing wolf on the board if there are no undefeated wolves, which implies all wolves start on the board.
So do you have a local group to support playing these characters "blind" out the box, or have you developed some solo mode structure for testing and practicing with various characters?
They look strong , but i get the feeling they are a glass canon, even with the 4 def , with really weak map control. Imo, the strongest competitive fighter of both sets is Philippa .
We seriously need anime ip in unmatched. For example atack on titan with Eren. He could have 2 minis, one human form and titan form, and cards with two different actions he can use depends of what form he curenlty using.

I was really looking forward to Realms Fall, but i guess i'll go with Steel & Silver. The fighters seems to have an interesting game plan and in the same time being fair.
Okay... So DESIGN looks bad. That's not like everything bad with it but faces look bad. For ex Leshen and Eredin look great but everything related to faces... There are some good arts, but in general, I don't like it. PHILLIPA shouldn't exist at all. There are so many witchers we wanna see... I just don't understand how it is possible to have Philipa instead. I think it's a bad character choice. MECHANICS are great as always. Somehow Restoration can make another Marvel character interesting by adding new mechanics. Very excited to try it out. Overall. I will buy a set. I am sure it will be interesting to play, but man I am disappointed. Thanks for the video though.
Is it just me or art looks really underwhelming? Like yeah couple of cards look good, some are fine, but most are just meh, while some are really bad, like almost every with faces, especially Yen face on Incinerate whole Ciri deck looks incomplete and underbacked. Interestingly Leshen and Eredin look better than others. Hope it is just because of seeng it on video, but art looks like a huge step back comparing it to Slings and Arrows or Rising Sun

Based on deck alone, I think Geralt is the strongest for competitive due to his versatility and insane cards. Who do you think is the strongest?
It's too early to tell, but Geralt is definitely in my top 3 which would be Yennefer, Eredin, and Geralt.

@@TozyTube because it's typically the biggest defense you'll find in decks. Blocking above 4 is an exception.

Without going back and checking all of my maps to be completely confident, I'm 99% sure that's the first 4 zone space in the system.

My guess would be that whomever is designated first player goes first with that, similar to how first player puts down their sidekick tokens first.
Good question. I would think the Hero choice needs to be made first. Because Geralt is supposed to be able to choose gear based on the opposing hero.
What about Geralt vs Yenne-Tris vs Buffy? Who makes their choices first?

Just a local group. They're not crazy into Unmatched like I am but they enjoy free for all and 2v2 occasionally.

Realms Fall is a pass for me, with Yen smacking you for up to 11 and Phillipa discarding your key cards.
Man you must really dislike cobble and fog as well based on those complaints 😅
