Incredible? It’s like that time they had a high school boys soccer team play a women’s professional championship team and the boys team annihilated them. Sure she landed the trick but amazing? it’s something you’d see a young amateur teen doing at a park casually. The skill differential is crazy but they still are Olympians? It’s insulting to what an Olympian is. Whatever though acceptance and progressivism no matter if the cost is quality.

The skate community is getting better but it's still so fucking toxic. Unfortunately a lot of skaters still exhibit a lot of trash behaviors. I love to see the inclusivity in skateboarding regardless. Just hate to see all the hate, it's a bad look and problematic as fuck. Never stop skating ladies!!

Okay, so, if Alexis Sablone is been skating for 23 years. Why wasn’t she noticed 21 years ago (1999) when they noticed Elissa Steamer and created Tony Hawk Pro Skaters in 1999?
Maybe she was starting out and wasn’t good enough to be noticed?
Most people don't even get sponsored till at least 5 years of skating, she was probably still really young and didn't have many tricks.

There's a reason why Elissa steamer was considered one of the first OG woman skaters and everyone should know that if they consider themselves a real skater but for some reason no one in the world knows the first male skater because no mail has ever been labeled that. Those labels are only given to people that do something unexpected and everyone knows that guys are amazing at most things in this world so i really don't get that. But when women do something everyone freaks out and they label each other world first ever woman to do (blank). it's amazing the amount of attention that they require for everything they do.
Rodney Mullen, the bones brigade and d boys are considered the original skaters bro. Go watch lords of dogtown. You know the first female skaters because they started long after skating had been established and the board shape had already been transformed by Rodney Mullen and others into what it is today. They are og women but there really aren’t any true og female skaters because they didn’t start until it was a real thing.

Apparently she/he/whatever they want to be called identifies as trans nonbinary, as opposed to a man, and doesn't take hormones. I don't really understand the whole nonbinary thing but if they were born a women and haven't taken testosterone or any other shit that might give them an edge then I don't think there's an issue with them competing in the women's comp.

Skateboarding skill is important but I think a lot of it comes down to just having a name for yourself and a gd representation, we see random skaters everywhere that are on another level but they might have never entered a comp and probs don’t even post skating on insta they just do it for the love, not just with women same with the guys there are random dudes that shit on a fair few pro skaters
Just look at it like different weight classes or age brackets. You're trying to compare male and female skating in your mind when you can't, it's two different genres.
