    • @Seiku
      @Seiku 2 года назад +1

      @@missourimongoose7643 Yeah, I don't think it's really necessary for the USA to do that. There are probably plenty of already pre-developed or abandoned lands that could be repurposed if necessary. Unless the purpose is to create coastal towns, but that would also need other incentives like reducing boating and/or ship transport restrictions.

    It's kind of a bummer that they drained the swamps and got rid of them. Most places build around natural environments, especially when ecosystems are so hard to come by in the desert.
    I like the idea, but it's quite pedestrian. It looks like a small neighborhood.
    I also have concerns about how well it will recirculate the water. Even if it's not immediately successful, it can probably be amended or improved.

    • @penguinpingu3807
      @penguinpingu3807 2 года назад +2

      Pedestrian is good. Cars are cars.
      Reasons:
      1) It's better for small businesses as people don't need to find a spot for parking to go to that shop.
      2) You are able to get some form of exercise by walking to places, and its free.
      3) It's much better for the environment as you don't need to buy a car (electric cars also causes pollution during the manufacturing process),
      4) Plenty of human interaction to make it feel more a sense of community in the city.
      However one major drawback is that since the country is located in the desert. Walking under the very hot sun sucks, especially during the summer months. Solution could be trees and public transport.
      Also I don't mean they should ban cars.

      No, they are like many cities in developing countries are preparing for what I call the new colonization.
      I have been saying to people that European countries & the US is going under economically and thus many countries will be unbearable for a good living in the coming decades. My own believe is that will lead to many countries be in civil war like state where the people will be protesting harshly against their governments…this will naturally cause a big wave of people to move to other countries which is why you see crazy new developments happening especially in Asia. China has built 20+ complete cities that are not even needed, and it’s famously known as ghost cities…other countries are building non needed new area’s & cities in a fast rapid way which tells me that they know what’s coming.
      The near future will be grim for the western world…I hope I am wrong but I have a big feeling that this is the shift to the new world.
