My brother is on this record - second row from the top, third from the left - with a couple of small solos. I still have the record itself and most of the other ones you have posted as well.Thank you for posting this.
This record is notable for Yisroel Lamm’s first credit... he painted the cover illustration! I have had this LP since it was new, and noticed that the second half of “Ein Aroch” was mixed in monaural. Never knew why they did that. You’ve also got a few spots of damage from a worn stylus.
Wow, I didn't notice that credit; Lamm is very talented indeed. And Good catch, that last part from 6:57 to 7:22 is mono. I'd guess they did so many edits with a razor blade back in the day that they lost or damaged that final stereo segment and had to splice in the mono version (earliest recordings were mono and stereo for the respective pressings). ... and yes, a very well-loved record from the RCA Victrola days that I did my best to clean and filter😂.
@@ouaga2010 during the war Ezriel David Fastag הי"ד composed the nigun for Ani Maamin which was taken by survivors to the Mozhitzer Rebbe in the US. It was "the" niggun for Ani Maamin, sung by all , until this Pirchei record came out in the late sixties. This Pirchei nigun at the time was called "the new Ani Maamin". Now , as you say, everyone sings this one.
תודה..חזרנו לתקופה שהיינו ילדים ששמענו השירים האלה כל יום ,כל היום
גם אני הרבתי לשמוע שירים אלו לפני 50 שנה . זה היה בצורה של דיסק במהירות של 33...
Thank you for taking the time to preserve the wonderful songs of our youth. Real Jewish songs.
