Haven't listened to these recordings in way too long. Hearing them now brings back memories from long ago. The kumsitz / campfire quality of many of these selections carries my Neshama back to my own summer camp years. Thank you.
Omdos Hoyu Ragleinu - that score in particular is suggestive of the tunes in "Joseph and the Technicolor Dream Coat". We may have uncovered the inspiration for some of the "Joseph" music!!
I Remember as a child listening to Camp Sdei Chemed loved the music and dreaming looking at the photos at the back Will I ever get to ISRAEL and see the Holy Land for real.Bh since those times been to ISRAEL many times Thanks for downloading this beautiful memorable Record
Ageed. I was in S'dei Chemed the summer this album was recorded, and auditioned but didn't make the choir cut. Must have had a bad day (I'm told I have a good voice and can carry a tune.)
@@allegator18 our family knew Eli very well. My mother, A"H, taught in Torah Temimah for 19 years and also had a camp in Israel in the summer of 1973. I remember his rendition of the story of Yonah. Wow!
Wow! Been looking for this for so long. Rabbi Eli Teitlebaum was my Rebbi in the 4th grade in 150 Ocean Parkway. Pity the fool who started up with us when he was around. 613 Torah tapes. Remember his house and basement on 43rd between 16th and 17th Avenue. Never was zoche to go to the camp in Israel so I did the next best thing with the rest of my Rabbeim from YTT in MaNaVu.
You're a little older than I, then. I also had him in 4th, but that was the first year they moved into the new building at 555. Remember the fire in the dumbwaiter? My father went to camp with Rabbi T; he was the only person I knew who called him by his first name.

I remember that building because my mother A"H was Morah Tovah - the kindergarten teacher. I used to go with her when I didn't have school.

מתי התקליט הוקלט ?
? when this record was recorded
My best educated guess - 1970.
Definitely a little later than that my brother went to camp when this record came out. I'll get the exact year from him
Definitely 1975. Thats when he went. I was in cejewin in Port Jervis NY that same year .
