I used to run out of Wild Times content frequently, but now with the daily vids there’s always something fresh. Thanks bros
Yeah what this bro said
You still here bro
@@Masonjar94 why would I ever leave? I already found the best podcast
You know what would be amazing? If somehow the wild times podcast gets a lot of traction then can fund a rendition of “extinct or alive” and we will never run out of content 🤩
It’s close too doing that now I’d say
@@Ekdrink I agree with this
This is a fantastic daily, legit one of the best ones we've gotten. Love the breakdown and the reasoning as to what may or may not be still around and why. This is what wildlife biology is about.
I still think a deep dive on the Bush Moa, note not the huge Moa, would be great as it's the size of a chicken and it's range is in a pretty unexplored area of NZ.
I know a lot of Caspian Tiger reports have been filtering out of Afghanistan as of late, both by locals and American soldiers. What are Forrest’s thoughts on those? Is it possible they are just misidentified Persian or snow leopards?
they were still getting skins of the tigers in the 1980's
Awesome segment idea. I can’t wait for Part 2.
The tiger they were still getting 7-8 skin's yearly in the 1980's in kurkastand....
That turkey leopard (thought to be extinct till really recently 2010's) lives in the same area the farmers would leave their working horses up in the mountains they also have deer/wild hogs and other prey up in the mountains. also some might still live in private zoo's. There now ten's of thousands of wild horses in the mountains.
Barbary Lion would be an interesting one
Love this guy's, this fills the void of Extinct and Alive plus gives us some entertaining daily content, how about some Brostener submissions for the next round? Like a submission on Discord or Reddit?
will there be a season 3 of extinct or alive? And if so what are some of the animals yall would like to investigate?
With how much conflict there was in the region, large range of the animal, yet at the same time huge habitat fragmentation is really what doomed it.
Love this game! Bring on part 2
So, will there be a 3rd season of Extinct or Alive? I sure hope so
Wait, so are there no more seasons of extinct or alive coming?
Covid limited travel
@@animalguyanimalguy270 IK, but are there any plans to resume filming once restrictions are lifted? That is the real question.
I believe forest said something like discovery havent signed them on for another season
How can the caspian tiger range north of Cambodia??? Some things Forrest says makes me doubt him a bit.
Can’t wait to get home and watch this!
Yessir another daily vid
I live in java. About the javan tiger, there is a lot of hearsay among hiker that they still lives in the mountain, some heard the growl, some even got attacked. And again its only hearsay. as of now more and more people especialy in indonesia loves to go camping in the mountain.
“I saw a guy blow a seals brains out”
“Nice” 😂
I know that there are animals out there that we haven’t discovered yet. Some areas people just assume that everything has been discovered and stopped looking. I live by the redwoods and saw a giant salamander. When I went to research it I found out that it isn’t supposed to exist 🤷♀️
Did they not find first gen pinta isla tortoise hybrids in 2012?
I know the Caspian is supposed to be extinct in the wild for sure but how about in captivity? I can't help but think some Joe Exotic type with a tiger collection has one out there somewhere
I can't remember what species of lion it was but there's an old black-and-white photo of one someone got in a sandy desert area it's an amazing photo but I'd wonder if those lions were still alive
The Pinta island tortoise is a real loss
They will probably de-extinct it though
what about a passenger pigeon because its a small bird in a rather large region
Chances the passenger pigeon is extant are really slim. They existed in such massive flocks- at certain points of the year, the entire species would gather in just a few flocks across North America. When flock size decreased, the entire flock would die off pretty quickly. So the chances a small population remains are almost nonexistent.
Excellent bro-duction quality 🤙
From my understanding Siberian Tigers have been getting smaller over the years, to the point there’s a real chance that Bengal tigers on average might even be bigger than Siberians tigers on average.
Gives some episode of imperial woodpecker .
Hurts to say but this game is as good or almost as good as the battle royale
What if that Tiger is subscribed to Manscaped and that's how it has avoided detection.
to be clear. calling a tortoise a turtle is accurate. they are all turtles. its just that not all turtles are tortoises
I liked this, but you two were a bit condescending to the third guy, just because he didn't know exactly what you guys knew
An ancient human will find those seal bones in that sinkhole and will 100% come up with some theory haha
I never understood poaching for horns wouldnt it be smarter for a poacher to dart the animal well enough to then cut the horn off
Poachers don’t have access to darts or dart guns… I thought that would be pretty obvious
Jamaica go
Man I kinda feel like Forrest was born in the wrong generation. With the rapid decline of the biodiversity on earth I can’t imagine what amazing creatures thought to be extinct for hundreds/thousands of years were able to hold on until the damage done by man was to much to overcome in the last 50 years or so
9:35 Based on DNA data sub-species has been cut back, there is now only one species of Tiger with one sub-species, consisting of populations with in them. Mainland Asia Tiger-(Panthera tigris tigris), with populations being, Bengal-(living), Caspian-(extinct), Siberian-(living), South China-(living), Indo-china-(living), Malayan-(living). And sub-species the Sunda lsland Tiger-(Panthera tigris sondaica) with populations being, Sumatran-(living), Javan-(extinct), Bali-(extinct).
bigfoot. sll the ape sightings in nw USA
I’d like a podcast with only the professionnal mr.Galante…..
The two other guys are more than annoying and have nothing good to say without google… Anybody could be doing what they do …
Imagine if Eddie Bravo was there in every JRE episode… that’s how I see it 😅
