  • My daughter Erika is a true genius at memorizing lines. At age 5 when we lived in Manhattan she got a Santa Claus for Christmas who recited the famous poem (see figure behind her). I left her alone for a short time and then after having listened to the Santa Claus she stunned me by delivering the whole poem from memory without even knowing the meaning of some words at such a tender age. Here she recites the poem again at age eight when celebrating our first Christmas in Pacific Palisades.
