The problem with these extremely watered down portrayals of complex social issues is that a lot of the time the simplification leads them to be unintentionally tone deaf. A lot of the time, the allegory for the dominant group have a very viable reason to not want the allegory for the oppressed group in their society. The message goes from “We shouldn’t hate people because they’re different” to “We know this group of people are dangerous but we still shouldn’t question their integration because reasons”.
The worst part is the allegories can't be coincidence, zombies are a segregated class that are inherently violent and need bands (or to become just like the oppressor) to control those urges, werewolves are "savage" beasts who have a magical connection to the land, and this one has an aliens invading and takes their jobs, not to mention in all of these movies they act like the Jim crow laws were just because of misunderstandings. The fact that they use actual racist ideas and stereotypes to create the minorities is honestly somewhat offensive. It's not like it challenges them, but instead it says that they are true

Idk if Kei is gonna discuss this, but there's a scene in the credits where Bucky sneaks into the aliens' mothership (Voiced by RuPaul Charles of all people), saying that he's gonna "spread cheer to the farthest reaches of the galaxy", and then he just flies away inside of it... and I don't know if I'm overthinking this, but I don't think Bucky's gonna survive in the RuPaul mothership Edit: I've gotten a few comments jokingly saying that Bucky's gonna come back a drag queen. And even though the idea of Bucky in drag is funny, what I'm saying is that there's no way Bucky can survive space travel or be able to use alien technology
i know you probably meant literally (because he most likely doesn't have alien blood depending on who's side of Addison's family he comes from) but he is literally going to become a drag queen, we all know it
My favorite part of "Ain't No Doubt About It" is how occasionally they have a line where they acknowledge the crushing realization that their high school relationship isn't likely to survive after they graduate.
2 things about Addison in this movie: 1. In Alien Invasion while everyone else panics and looks terrified while she stares up in awe. Theen when Zed tries to snap her out of it they end up having a conversation about their relationship while the earth is shaking and the town is literally burning. She then says the line “We don’t even know what they came here to do” as a car explodes about 10 feet away from her. Like I get that her character is all accepting and whatnot but they are literally destroying your home. 2. It is really weird and suspicious how quickly she was convinced to leave her entire life behind for some aliens she’d met 2 days ago. After all that she would leave Zed, her parents and friends because she found out that she was only 25% alien. Idk I guess I didn’t expect this to be what she meant when she ravels on about in 3 songs about how she doesn’t fit in and needs to find her people.
To the 2nd point: it's not so different to the werewolf movie, when she thought she was one and was ready to sacrifice her previous life like immediately, so it's part of her character I guess
Why do I feel like, after every movie wraps in production, the cast and crew pat themselves of the backs while saying “We did it guys, racism is no more.”
Question: Addison couldn’t go with the aliens because she didn’t have enough stardust in her blood before her transformation, so she wouldn’t survive the journey. Bucky clearly doesn’t have any relation to the aliens, so he probably has even less than she did. Will he be okay?
Honestly, my biggest gripe with the movie is that Addison is “the most precious thing in Seabrook”. Like, you’d think coming from her grandmother, that her MOM would be. I just find it strange that the grandmother would place these ever evolving coordinates in someone with a fraction of the blood deemed necessary for space travel. Sure, Addison awakened her powers soon after meeting the aliens (a bit randomly), but the grandmother wouldn’t know that. That, and why did they have to be placed in the “most precious thing”? As I was watching the movie, I thought for a little while that the coordinates would actually be in the cup, and that Addison WOULDN’T wind up being the center of everything for once. Fat chance of that happening Overall though, I unironically enjoyed the movie
Mine too plus Addison alien era was waste together Angie never said anything about alien hair glowing she and her mother never bond them and she never do a dance number and her power were ransom and her alien look was waste because she got near of end movie.the other is how much they dirty the werewolfs and Addison .my biggest one is the aliens because they didn t big role.
I swear Addison’s entire character would’ve made way more sense if she had been adopted. Then her feeling like an outsider would’ve been more understandable rather than “I have white hair and that makes me weird.”
it would've been fine if they'd just committed more to her being mixed. but also. it would have been absolutely terrible either way because there is no WAY they would handle either a mixed-race storyline OR a transracial adoption storyline well
having the aliens actually be lying about their intentions and trying to actually steal from the school is so messed up like... what does that imply about immigrants? when ur movie is a metaphor for racial issues u can't pick and choose what's a metaphor and what only applies to the characters everything u make the characters do is a reflection on the race they're a metaphor for
I actually thought the aliens were supposed to represent neurodivergent people, but I guess that was just the vibe. They make a far better botched representation of immigrants Edit: upon further inspection if the aliens represented neurodivergence it would have far improved Addison’s presence, she never felt as though she had fit in and it would have been because neurodivergent people leave in a world not designed for them.
It’s honestly a shortcut that Hollywood does all the time. “Hmm how can we make these characters feel robotic or inhuman? I know! Neurodivergent (specifically autistic) people!” On one hand it’s nice to feel represented by characters, but on the other it’s sucky to be told “you’re so quirky! It’s like you’re not even a real person.”
Wait, so the immigrant stand-ins are secretly conspiring to steal precious resources from the place they're moving into? really? no one caught that before it left the cutting room floor 🤨
I love that Addison see’s the aliens basically destroyed the town and immediately try to make friends with them, it’s easy to notice but the more minorities Addison invited into her clique the dumber she becomes. But besides that I really don’t like the way that they frame Addison’s character, because her conflict is heavily repeated in the last two movies. If I was gonna describe the movie in a nutshell it would be "white woman finds out she’s a quarter black and gets box braids". That’s it, that’s the movie. Also the actor for Aspen plays a non binary character in Never Have I Ever and that show is much more enjoyable than all of these movies combined, the actor deserves way more love
AGREE AGREE (on last part) I literally only watch these Zombies review bc I want to see them again 😭 I need to watch the 4th season of Never Have I Ever I just remembered
The ZOMBIES trilogy is so crazy insane to me, the fact that they’d take such pressing, important global issues like racism and Indigenous struggles and make them into “haha look at the werewolf snark at the alien” is so wild, really proves that Disney cares about nothing more than making a buck. That being said, Pearce Joza (Wyatt Lykensen) is a treasure, a delight, and, as a lesbian, my male celebrity pass.
as bad as this movie is, i still cried when it ended because it came out right as i was finishing high school (the first zombies movie came out when i was in the 8th grade) so it felt like my childhood ending in some sort of way. and yes the songs are great i love excepctional zed
A-Spen isn't Disney's first enby character if you count Raine and Masha from The Owl House! Also why are all the non-humans literally just people with funny colored hair and Other Stuff ™
@@0905Db I don't think anybody said anything about the characters being human, just non-binary Edit: MISUNDERSTOOD YOUR COMMENT SORRY!!! I was talking about Z-O-M-B-I-E-S specifically with my second remark
Okay, peoples have already said ZOMBIES 4: Vampires/homophobia, I raise you ZOMBIES 4: Mermaids/disabilities…except not nice Disney mermaids, specifically sirens, the ones that sing to lure people to their deaths and eat them after. Because we can’t represent a marginalized group without making them explicitly dangerous/deadly to humans in this universe 🙃
ok but it's worse than that. the whole inherently-dangerous-and-deadly thing is specific to racial stereotypes. the black people allegory = inherently animalistic and extra strong and need to be controlled, the indigenous allegory = "in tune" with nature, stuff about their culture being really violent or weird, and the immigrant allegory = sneaking in to steal valuables. theyre literally doing race realism 😭 so if they're staying on brand, that doesn't work. mermaids luring people to their deaths and eating them doesn't really map to a stereotype about disabilities. it'd have to be something about faking for attention, or leeching off of communal resources, that kind of thing. maybe inspiration porn.
I think I can guess the next 2 Zombies movies, just from our current trajectory: Zombies 4: Wizards as an allegory for the Pinkertons Zombies 5: Liches as an allegory for bit-
I made it through the first one, but then the second one was simultaneously boring AND cringy and so I realized I didn't have to finish it because more than one RUclipsr has done that already
My ears perked up at the Puerto Rican comment, just because Puerto Ricans have citizenship doesn't mean they aren't discriminated against, held at lower positions so others can jump ahead, a piece of paper doesn't keep you safe from ignorance and hate Can't stand when people allude to the idea that Puerto Ricans don't know the struggle of being an immigrant or marginalized for the color of their skin, the way they speak and act Sorry but that really gets me heated
I 100% agree with what you’re saying but I don’t think the creator was trying to say that Puerto Rican immigrants don’t face discrimination. I think they thought the Puerto Rican actress was South Asian and corrected themselves. The aliens are pretty clearly meant to be asian immigrants because of the whole “they’re so good at math and work like robots so they’ll take your jobs” thing which is part of the “model minority” stereotype used to pit asian immigrants against other minorities in the US… just like how the zombies and werewolves are being pitted against the aliens. I’m just glad that Disney shut down Zombies before they found a new insulting group of characters for a thinly veiled metaphor about Latino people lol.
I think he only meant to correct his assumption about the actress and separate Puerto Ricans from the “model minority” commentary he was making about Asian people.
As a Puerto Rican, I get it, but he was correcting himself about all of them being casted by America's "model immigrants". That tells me at least that he knows America don't give a shit about PR or the citizens since they already group us with mexicans and cubans
ok so i actually never watched the third movie before but learning that the aliens took all the scholarships and jobs from the earthlings was a slap in the face. a slap that i shouldve seen coming knowing this franchise
I'm calling it now, Zombies 4 will use Vampires for Neurodivergent and/or queer people, and Zombies 5 will use Mermaids for Disabled people, and Addison's gonna find someway to make herself the center of it
Might I suggest a review of Tall Girl? It's another movie about a pretty white girl who thinks she's oppressed because of one physical feature, and I think it'd be hilarious watching you go to town on it.
important context for tall girl is that it was directed by nzingha stewart, who is a black woman. and who has SPECIFICALLY talked about how difficult it is for black directors to get positions directing non-black movies, and how tallgirl is more about dealing with internal insecurities than it is about bullying and oppression. like i think chances are she gets it, and besides, that movie is definitely not doing what zombies is doing 💀
I think A-spen is the first non-binary *live-action* Disney character, but I think Raine in The Owl House was introduced before this movie came out, so they're not the first in general Disney. Unless I'm wrong, idk. But even then, it technically does mean that A-spen is the first canonically non-binary *and* bisexual Disney character. Shoving random characters into relationships for no reason is *such* a kids movie thing lol, but I hope that this means that they'll actually get some proper interactions together in the upcoming animated series. Also, fun fact, I think a lot of people shipped Eliza and Willa before this movie, so I bet those people were upset.
i like how there's such an obvious plot hole. Like, the aliens supposedly 'just discover' the existence of the world and Seabrook, but what about Addison and her mom? They had to had been there like 50ish years ago at least and nobody has talked about a possible alien sighting that happened before. And it wasn't just like a dandy visit; an alien had to fuck some human and HAD A BABY which means that they probably stayed longer than a day. Also, why would only 1 alien, the leader, be the only one who had a baby there??? Where are the other half-quarter aliens?? They also never talk about Addison's mom. Does she have alien powers? Why isn't she reuiniting as well? The aliens just seem like a shitty excuse to have Addison be in the minority and for the show to battle racism again.
You’re the first person I’ve watched to comment on how ridiculous A-spen x Willa is. Everyone talks about how cute it is and stuff (which is totally fine; people can like the ship if they want) and I felt like I was the only one who thought it was incredibly forced and unnecessary 😅. But anyway, great review, like always!
So wait, this whole series is just Addison trying to insert herself into a minority and she fails in the first two and succeeds in the third, that being the end of the series.
I love how so much of the random pieces of this combine other Disney movies and Disney look a like films. Mostly the werewolf necklaces being crystals that power them and their society gives me strong Atlantis vibes. I couldn’t stop thinking like “If I had a nickel every time a Disney movie gave the indigenous people some magical crystal necklaces that are both a power source and their life source I’d have two nickels. It’s not a lot but it’s strange that it happened twice.” Also platinum blonde vanilla pudding main lead girl being the map to the greatest thing in the cosmos gives me Titan A.E vibes.
Another thing about this franchise in particular I never understood. Why is each minority monster race extremely racist to the next group of monsters in each sequel. Like *all* of them, in this franchise they were going through the exact same thing in the most literal sense like weeks or months ago but you’re telling me every single zombie will use that same racism towards the werewolves and then both of those groups towards the aliens? Not one of them was like “hey, they’re kinda like us maybe they’re not inherently bad”
I watched your two video on Zombies 1 & 2 and then decided to see the third one for myself. It is definitely the best one with most characters coming into their own, and the actors being more mature and less stiff. The humor was still aggressively childlike but still an upgrade to 1 & 2. And I really liked how much chaos it brings to introduce 4 different species over 3 movies. But also, I was in a DCOM mood after watching these so I decided to watch High School Musical 3 afterwards and so my lasting impression of this movie is just that HSM 3 is much better.
Goddamn you rip the characters APART in the most eloquent, hilarious way; which I am 100% sure I enjoy more than I would these terrible, terrible, movies. Thank you for the work you do. 🙏
Next will be vampires. A vampire destroys an important landmark, and then all the other vampires who have arrived get called terrorists. The main girl whatshername finds out she's still special and that she was bit as a baby and can now turn into a white alien bat because of course she can
If there is a 4th movie they should make it about plant creatures that produce a chemical that allows them and other to transform into other creatures. Have a plant creature become a zombie, and have a zombie yell at them “You’re not a zombie. Zombie are zombies. You were born a plant creature. Plant creatures are not zombies.” Maybe throw in a plot line with Zed taking the chemical to become human (in order to play football or wherever). He of course faces backlash from humans for transitioning from zombie to human. Zed regrets becoming human and turn back into a zombie. Maybe have Allison’s favorite author come out as anti plant creature or something.
I wasn't sure, so i looked it up, and yeah, A-Spen may well be Disney's first enby character, as Zombies 3 predates Eda's Requiem, introduction of Raine Whispers, by 11 days. There may be others i am unaware of, though Edit: It has been brought to my attention that I forgot to check the years that the movie and episode premiered in, with Zombies 3 releasing in 2022, and Eda's Requiem releasing in 2021. Apologies for any confusion I may have caused
Actually, Raine made a cameo in earlier episodes. In season 1 there’s a half-shown photo of them in Eda’s scrapbook, and they have a cameo in S2E6 Hunting Palisman before their official introduction later
@@trevorendeavors7972 I didn't know about the scrapbook, and until I checked just now, I thought that the Bard Coven Head was Raine's predecessor, Scooter Crane, as I didn't know what Crane looked like. However, whilst you are right, and Raine was very likely intended to be enby from their conception, they were still confirmed to be as such (to my knowledge) slightly after this movie's release
Hey check the dates again friend, Edas Requiem came out in July 2021 and Zombies came out in July 2022 :) so I think Raine is Disney's first non binary character!
I thank you so much for suffering through these three movies for our pleasure, it really was fascinating seeing just how batshit insane this franchise was all the way until the end. You are a very brave soul indeed.
First the soundtrack is the best in this one. Exceptional zed (for this series) is amazing. I love how everyone is moral support for zed. A commenter mentioned how the werewolves called him a leader and “the best footballer she’s ever see and (what’s her name) calls him a “charismatic green machine” and I can’t stop thinking about their arguments. They are using descriptions they want to associate themselves with, but Zed proved in each film that he is a good football player, a leader, and has charisma that allows people to listen to him. I also love how the cheerleaders, Addison’s parents, and the principal support him since they were fighting against him since day 1. I also like that after helping the Aliens, they help him with his scholarship. It really shows the unity he helped create. And I never get tired of “now I live in his basement.” One of the best jokes ever.
Imagine they make a allegory for wars or genocide the day that happens would be the worst day ever Also They are native Americans and that is not cool Also I like how they definitely killed someone and that is looked over
27:09 You are kidding yourself if you honestly think they would end Addison's story arc there, and not have the 4th movie be about how, despite the aliens embracing her wholeheartedly, Addison still feels like she doesn't belong, that she's not "alien enough", and then she tries to culturally appropriate the new "monster as a metaphor"
Tbh this movie was a guilty(?) pleasure. I really enjoyed the characters, especially the aliens and werewolves. It was pretty funny in many occasions. I'm glad I got to discover the Zombie Trilogy thanks to ya 🙏🏼
Bucky being part alien may actually explain his behavior a little :] Him being a sociopath due to the aliens' unfamiliarity with emotions. Idk, he's just, uhm, bucky.
I think it's kinda fucked her mom knew why her hair was white and she herself had white hair but kept it a secret, making her think she was a freak when her mom could have told her, at least, that she had it too...like that mom sucks
I read once that the aliens in ZOMBIES 3 are meant to represent the Pleiadians, an actual alien race that communicate with some humans to help us with their knowledge about life and the Universe (they were shown in a Simpsons episode once), the Pleiadians are known for wearing a dark shade of blue (indigo) and have a sweet and nice personality just like the aliens in Zombies 3
Omg you NEED to talk about how BAD the racial allegories are in beastars like honesty I find it real funny how almost every person who says that beastars is a good metaphor for racism and segregation is a white dude💀💀
I just saw a 90s movie called My Boyfriend's Back and that's where Disney got the idea for ZOMBIES from. The popular blonde girl is dating a zombie, who is shunned by everyone for being a zombie, and the zombie guy's narration is accompanied by animation. But the animation makes sense in that movie because it's Tales from the Crypt style comic book art, since he's a zombie and all.

That's because Addison is a clinical psycopath incapable of feeling empathy.
To the 2nd point: it's not so different to the werewolf movie, when she thought she was one and was ready to sacrifice her previous life like immediately, so it's part of her character I guess
She really just wants to be special. Probably reads too much fanfic 😂
Why do I feel like, after every movie wraps in production, the cast and crew pat themselves of the backs while saying “We did it guys, racism is no more.”
And then Disney tracks them down and says "Rasicm's back, we need you for one last mission".
Question: Addison couldn’t go with the aliens because she didn’t have enough stardust in her blood before her transformation, so she wouldn’t survive the journey. Bucky clearly doesn’t have any relation to the aliens, so he probably has even less than she did. Will he be okay?
No he's 100% gonna die lol
Nah he totally dies
He just built different bruh
Bucky is addisons cousin. I don’t know if it’s on the alien side, but he could be part alien
No. No he will not
Honestly, my biggest gripe with the movie is that Addison is “the most precious thing in Seabrook”. Fat chance of that happening
Overall though, I unironically enjoyed the movie
Mine too plus Addison alien era was waste together Angie never said anything about alien hair glowing she and her mother never bond them and she never do a dance number and her power were ransom and her alien look was waste because she got near of end movie.the other is how much they dirty the werewolfs and Addison .my biggest one is the aliens because they didn t big role.
Sending hearts! ♥♥♥
Sending hearts to everyone!♥♥♥
I swear Addison’s entire character would’ve made way more sense if she had been adopted. Then her feeling like an outsider would’ve been more understandable rather than “I have white hair and that makes me weird.”
it would've been fine if they'd just committed more to her being mixed. but also. it would have been absolutely terrible either way because there is no WAY they would handle either a mixed-race storyline OR a transracial adoption storyline well
having the aliens actually be lying about their intentions and trying to actually steal from the school is so messed up like... what does that imply about immigrants? when ur movie is a metaphor for racial issues u can't pick and choose what's a metaphor and what only applies to the characters everything u make the characters do is a reflection on the race they're a metaphor for
why does the zombies always gotta be “earning” basic rights😭like the fact that they have to earn their place in highschool and college feels icky
I actually thought the aliens were supposed to represent neurodivergent people, but I guess that was just the vibe. They make a far better botched representation of immigrants
Edit: upon further inspection if the aliens represented neurodivergence it would have far improved Addison’s presence, she never felt as though she had fit in and it would have been because neurodivergent people leave in a world not designed for them.
That would honestly be such a better movie than this one
I'm autistic and totally thought that's what rep Aspen was going for :/ (also enby but that's off topic)
@@LaikasFriend same(I thought the same thing and I'm also autistic)...I guess they weren't going for that :|
It’s honestly a shortcut that Hollywood does all the time. “Hmm how can we make these characters feel robotic or inhuman? I know! Neurodivergent (specifically autistic) people!”
On one hand it’s nice to feel represented by characters, but on the other it’s sucky to be told “you’re so quirky!
AGREE AGREE (on last part)
I literally only watch these Zombies review bc I want to see them again 😭
I need to watch the 4th season of Never Have I Ever I just remembered
that's where i recognized them from! i knew aspen looked familiar
"rupaul as the voice of "THE MOTHERSHIP"" is not a phrase i expected to see in a disney channel original movie but i'm so so so glad it's there.
so funny how every film in this franchise somehow gets worse and better than the last. truly one of the franchises of all time
The ZOMBIES trilogy is so crazy insane to me, the fact that they’d take such pressing, important global issues like racism and Indigenous struggles and make them into “haha look at the werewolf snark at the alien” is so wild, really proves that Disney cares about nothing more than making a buck.
That being said, Pearce Joza (Wyatt Lykensen) is a treasure, a delight, and, as a lesbian, my male celebrity pass.
SENDING A HEART! ♥♥♥
as bad as this movie is, i still cried when it ended because it came out right as i was finishing high school (the first zombies movie came out when i was in the 8th grade) so it felt like my childhood ending in some sort of way. and yes the songs are great i love excepctional zed
A-Spen isn't Disney's first enby character if you count Raine and Masha from The Owl House! Also why are all the non-humans literally just people with funny colored hair and Other Stuff ™
Masha is human though!
@@0905Db I don't think anybody said anything about the characters being human, just non-binary
Edit: MISUNDERSTOOD YOUR COMMENT SORRY!!! I was talking about Z-O-M-B-I-E-S specifically with my second remark
but they're really censored, a-spen isnt TOO censored
@hadleyd I mean Masha literally has the Non-Binary flag on their nails so not that censored
@@hadleyd Censored how?
Now that she has a good haircut, Addison really has no leg to stand on. Like white blondes are a thing
So they state humans can't survive space travel, and the movie ends with Bucky the human going into space. Bucky is dead now, you're welcome
Okay, peoples have already said ZOMBIES 4: Vampires/homophobia, I raise you ZOMBIES 4: Mermaids/disabilities…except not nice Disney mermaids, specifically sirens, the ones that sing to lure people to their deaths and eat them after. Because we can’t represent a marginalized group without making them explicitly dangerous/deadly to humans in this universe 🙃
ok but it's worse than that. the whole inherently-dangerous-and-deadly thing is specific to racial stereotypes. the black people allegory = inherently animalistic and extra strong and need to be controlled, the indigenous allegory = "in tune" with nature, stuff about their culture being really violent or weird, and the immigrant allegory = sneaking in to steal valuables. theyre literally doing race realism 😭
so if they're staying on brand, that doesn't work. mermaids luring people to their deaths and eating them doesn't really map to a stereotype about disabilities. it'd have to be something about faking for attention, or leeching off of communal resources, that kind of thing. maybe inspiration porn.
I think I can guess the next 2 Zombies movies, just from our current trajectory:
Zombies 4: Wizards as an allegory for the Pinkertons
Zombies 5: Liches as an allegory for bit-
But the vampires and mermaids! Who do we think they'll be a poorly thought out and poorly explained alegory for?
@@katherinehavegreen515 LGBTQ people and furries, respectively.
@@katherinehavegreen515 Actually, they had a series of shorts involving vampires. I still have no clue what they are supposed to represent
@@katherinehavegreen515vampires= hiv/aids mermaids=people with disabilities

Although tbf, I'm not very aware of disney channel stuff
Bucky doesn’t have alien blood or ”stardust” so that means that….
…bucky canonically dies.
My theory is that they got Ru Paul because he was already voicing a character for Amphibia at the time of this movies production
i love you for this review series because i physically cannot watch the zombies movies without wanting to throw my phone across the room
How many of those urges were on Addison scenes? XD
I made it through the first one, but then the second one was simultaneously boring AND cringy and so I realized I didn't have to finish it because more than one RUclipsr has done that already
When he said told them to go back to where they came from, one of the werewolves should’ve been like “you aren’t from here either”
My ears perked up at the Puerto Rican comment, just because Puerto Ricans have citizenship doesn't mean they aren't discriminated against, held at lower positions so others can jump ahead, a piece of paper doesn't keep you safe from ignorance and hate
Can't stand when people allude to the idea that Puerto Ricans don't know the struggle of being an immigrant or marginalized for the color of their skin, the way they speak and act
Sorry but that really gets me heated
That tells me at least that he knows America don't give a shit about PR or the citizens since they already group us with mexicans and cubans
ok so i actually never watched the third movie before but learning that the aliens took all the scholarships and jobs from the earthlings was a slap in the face. a slap that i shouldve seen coming knowing this franchise
as an asian they/them named aspen, i feel like i need to watch this movie now
we all know it’d be another horribly tone deaf narrative but now i REALLY want there to be a zombies 4 with xi/xir vampires
Bro got the Matt Murdock fittt 💀🔥🔥🔥🔥
Addison this movie: I KNEW I WAS A MINORITY!
Racism, football, and cheerleading… I think you’ve described the three pastimes of Texas.
Addison really took a 23 and Me and found she's 2.3% alien
they had another name for that ship but rupaul threw a tantrum last minute and they changed it to The Mothership
Funny thing is there was a spin off show for between Zombies 2 and 3 where there were vampires and Addison thought she was one for a bit 💀
I cant wait for Z-O-M-B-I-E-S 4 where they introduce Gay Vampires
I love how “Come on Out” is literally a diss track
You’re the first person I’ve watched to comment on how ridiculous A-spen x Willa is. Everyone talks about how cute it is and stuff (which is totally fine; people can like the ship if they want) and I felt like I was the only one who thought it was incredibly forced and unnecessary 😅. But anyway, great review, like always!
So wait, this whole series is just Addison trying to insert herself into a minority and she fails in the first two and succeeds in the third, that being the end of the series.
Yeah pretty much. I mean… yeah no yo got it
The descent into madness over this movie is a 10/10.
'Cheerleading is genetic I guess'
My buffy the vampire slayer obsession disagrees
Another thing about this franchise in particular I never understood. Why is each minority monster race extremely racist to the next group of monsters in each sequel. Like *all* of them, in this franchise they were going through the exact same thing in the most literal sense like weeks or months ago but you’re telling me every single zombie will use that same racism towards the werewolves and then both of those groups towards the aliens? Not one of them was like “hey, they’re kinda like us maybe they’re not inherently bad”
was literally drinking my dr pepper strawberries n cream as he said to sit down and have one
The main girl whatshername finds out she's still special and that she was bit as a baby and can now turn into a white alien bat because of course she can
‘What do we have here?”
If there is a 4th movie they should make it about plant creatures that produce a chemical that allows them and other to transform into other creatures. Have a plant creature become a zombie, and have a zombie yell at them “You’re not a zombie. Zombie are zombies. You were born a plant creature. Plant creatures are not zombies.”
Maybe throw in a plot line with Zed taking the chemical to become human (in order to play football or wherever). He of course faces backlash from humans for transitioning from zombie to human. Zed regrets becoming human and turn back into a zombie.
Maybe have Allison’s favorite author come out as anti plant creature or something.
That would have horrible implications because it would be more like... biochemical blackface or something? But, knowing disney, they would
I wasn't sure, so i looked it up, and yeah, A-Spen may well be Disney's first enby character, as Zombies 3 predates Eda's Requiem, introduction of Raine Whispers, by 11 days. There may be others i am unaware of, though
Edit: It has been brought to my attention that I forgot to check the years that the movie and episode premiered in, with Zombies 3 releasing in 2022, and Eda's Requiem releasing in 2021.
@@kabkabkabkab3886 Oh, you're right. Sorry, I missed that. I'll amend the comment now. Thank you very much
Everytime a new group of people are introduced Addison wants to be different and just like them so bad and it makes me hate her
The "spectrum squad" and wyatt were probably the only good things to come from the Zombies trilogy
“Also this guy looks like Ninja” caught me so off guard my god that is uncanny
I can't lie I love A-spen
When the movie came out, I spent a while watching clips. Exclusively for A-spen. I would call it a new low, but that'd be a lie
Bucky should be canonically dead because of him trying to use space travel without being part alien himself
I would’ve been more angry if they said ‘enemy aliens’ as a Japanese-American
I absolutely love how they made a movie about discrimination against black, native and asian people each.
Imagine they make a allegory for wars or genocide the day that happens would be the worst day ever
Also They are native Americans and that is not cool
Also I like how they definitely killed someone and that is looked over
I just want you to know… I made my mom watch this whole trilogy 😭

I swear she’s probably gonna think she’s part of this other species in the spin off show even though she finds out she’s an alien
#shutupAddison
The plot in this one makes the least sense, but the overall vibes are my fave haha
Glad to know I'm not the only one who thinks 'Ain't no doubt about it' is a complete and utter banger
ITS LITERALLY AMAZING!!!
Aspen is actually not the first non-binary character for disney, that title actually goes to Raine Whispers from The Owl House
I want them to make a 4th movie where zed and addison are struggling with infertility and becojme racist about adoption.
I think it's kinda fucked her mom knew why her hair was white and she herself had white hair but kept it a secret, making her think she was a freak when her mom could have told her, at least, that she had it too...like that mom sucks
I'm Salvadorian, the amount of times I've heard "Go back to Mexico" is insane. I HAVEN'T BEEN ON MEXICO ONCE IN MY LAFE!!!
Disney's first nonbinary character was actually Raine Whispers from The Owl House, they debuted in the episode Eda's Requiem on July 24th, 2021

OMG SPLATOON MUSIC IM GOING TO EXPLODE
"there's also the mothership by rupaul", do you mean..... the MOTHER-ship
