  • In this video, I discuss how I prepared for my Amazon Interview in New York.
    I ended up receiving an offer for a Front End Engineer II position, which I accepted. This type of preparation would be the same regardless of any company I applied for. Hope this helps!

    This was truly helpful. I started teaching myself code March 2019 and graduated from bootcamp during COVID. I find this video while currently interviewing for amazing roles. I have been doing a bit less than what you described in this video and I see the areas I could work on starting now. Thank you for raising the bar for me and I appreciate the transparency you provide.

    I have my amazon interview today and I'm dropping it. They won't let you reapply for 6 months if you don't do well enough. The problem is that interviewing and working are two different things. I have 5 years of experience but I am not super good at leetcode or telling you how things work behind the scenes. A baker knows how to make amazing cakes but likely doesn't know the first thing about harvesting and processing wheat into cake flour. Do you need to know exactly how indexing works in a database or just that it makes things faster? I feel like I need to over-level before even bothering with Amazon.

    Thank you for making this video. I am currently preparing for a FE tech interview at Amazon. Question: @8:20 "remember tools to build these mini projects" What do you mean by saying "tools"? Like design pattern, or JS api? Also is TypeScript required?

    • @gargi_gingerly
      @gargi_gingerly 2 года назад +2

      I know this is an old comment, but to answer your question for anyone else who might be confused by that line. From what I understand is that these mini projects have patterns to solve particular problems, which might be helpful in other apps. So to get used to them are helpful just like there are patterns to solve DSA problems.
