Everyone was wondering if the Marcus Freeman hiring would pay off or not for Notre Dame. The slow start to the season had skeptics worried,but look at them now. Freeman has Notre Dame playing good football and his defense is flying around everywhere! If Notre Dame can recruit a top prospect at QB next season they will be very good. I am a Michigan season ticket holder but I LOVE Notre Dame too! Don't ever count out ND because the team has a great tradition of winning and always has fantastic athletes and coaching! It was an exciting game and a decisive win over an excellent Clemson team. I have been to South Bend to watch games and it is always "magical". Go Irish! 🙂🙂🙂🙂

The Bama loss was much better and more people are happy seeing them out of the CFP now. I said earlier in the year when they barely beat an over rated Texas A&M that they were not a top 5 team.

I think LSU and UGA meet in Atlanta, UGA dawg walks the corn dogs. TCU drops a game to bevo and misses out. Oregon will probably win the pac, but not make it in the top 4 unless the Michigan Ohio state game is a blowout. Could be looking at UGA, Ohio State, Tennessee, Michigan.

As a Clemson fan, this was a straight up beat down. Our DC and OC called the worst game in history and ND came prepared. We were out-coached and out played all game.

nah, I had been saying for weeks that clemson wasn't the team to fear this year. they had an easy schedule and weren't really blowing teams out the way they should've been, and with how they had struggled against syracuse just for us to whoop them the week after sealed the deal in my book

Great win for Notre Dame! Complete dominance. However, the highlights failed to show how Notre Dame's offensive line just bullied Clemson's all American stud defensive line all game long. Notre Dame pounded the ball right down their throats and there was nothing they could do about it. Notre Dame was by far the more physical team. I believe they have the best offensive line in the country by far. We already know they have the best tight end in the country. Now you can say they may have the best special team's unit in the country as a whole. Also, they have a top defense as well. The defense has been very good and strong all season. The scary part is, this team continues to get better every week. keep the momentum going! Go Irish! God Bless!!

I remember when ND was 0-2, and instead of people giving freeman room to improve and grow, he was called a diversity hire. There was no reason to call him that, he was the DC the year prior. Most programs promote either their OC or DC when a coach leaves unexpectedly or gets fired. Either way, it’s great how they were able to turn this season around.
Based on his recruiting alone real fans were going to be patient and let this play out. Sports culture in general has really become "what have you done for me today" with their attitude. Marcus Freeman is going to build a dominant, fast football team, something extremely difficult to do with their academic standards
So happy for coach! I loved the hire last year. I knew we'd have some growing pains but I knew he'd get it figured out. Beat 4 ranked teams and this win is the biggest win in a long time! How the did we lose to Marshal lol! That loss kills us! Great game fellas! Keep it going!
Learning curve I guess, weird one yeah, but this is freeman's first year as a head coach, new staff in general, not much experience in some key locations, mainly receivers early (who've really improved). Im excited to see what freeman will do
well, on the plus side... they're back in the top 25. On the negative side, their hops for a championship game have been lost. STILL, they can still land themselves a tier 1 bowl game.

We just are proud of the steps forward that this team has made. This win will go a long way towards helping with recruiting. Maybe so Clemson wins that one, but longest streak I believe in rivalry is 7 consecutive wins for both teams, Clemson at 7 now. So could lose to not go past 7.

Frankly, I don’t even care if this was one of Clemson’s weaker teams compared to past ones, the fact that Notre Dame laid the beat down on them is encouraging all on its own. If Freeman can build off this win and get some key pieces in the recruitment phase, he might sincerely bring Notre Dame out of the pretenders bracket and be a real threat in the upcoming years. Notre Dame joining the Big 10 has been something I've wanted to see for decades. They'd be the perfect fit and are in Big 10 country already. ND joining the ACC (in basketball only I think, so weird) was such a letdown.

Nothing at all against Drew Pyne, but I do wonder what this team looks like with an Elite QB? I mean, because we have some really good WRs, and at least 2 or 3 TEs who can dominate both Recieving and Blocking... And obviously the Running game is elite. The O-line has finally gelled and is playing as we all thought they would in the beggining of the season. The Defense is stout as long as the Offense doesn't leave them on the field for long stretches. And Special Teams? Forget it! They're awesome! So again... what do they look like with an elite QB?

CBS extended highlights of Georgia vs Tennessee, 25 minutes. NBC's "extended" highlights of Clemson vs Notre Dame only 8 minutes. Apparently NBC doesn't understand the concept of "extended".
Clemson would have needed to perform better for there to be anything more to add to the reel. It was basically three plays and punt half a dozen times. NBC literally showed every major play of the game for both teams.
Looks like Clemson's reign as a football powerhouse is really over , I haven't seen them get beaten this bad in a while. 💯 The whole ACC looks pretty weak after Syracuse , Clemson and Wake all fell this weekend. 💯 This is a great win but I have a bad feeling about the upcoming game with Navy ⚓. I am an Ohio State fan but follow ND as closely as I can. FWIW I do not think you have reason to worry about the Navy game. ND's D was playing fast and aggressive D. Really strong performance that Freeman will continue to build on.

The Big10 is like any other major conference. Two good teams yearly, maybe a third, but the rest suck. And I mean really suck. Look how much they’ve been pumping up Illinois. What has Bret Bielama consistently done whenever he’s been?? Nothing. Absolutely nothing. Notre Dame would go into their house and grind them down just like they did their last two teams. And don’t get me started on Michigan, they win an outright championship for the first time since 2003 and if you listen to their fans they’ve done it a dozen times. I’m sorry but @NBC these extended highlights this season are awful. These used to be so good. They used to tell more of the story of the game and include more plays. All this does is add replays - while that is nice, it would be great if it would include more critical plays like 3rd down conversions or big runs.

Pleasantly surprised how Notre Dame has improved. This is not one of Clemson's best teams but still, a Notre Dame rout is a big surprise.

I remember when ND was 0-2, and instead of people giving freeman room to improve and grow, he was called a diversity hire. There was no reason to call him that, he was the DC the year prior. Most programs promote either their OC or DC when a coach leaves unexpectedly or gets fired. Either way, it’s great how they were able to turn this season around.
Based on his recruiting alone real fans were going to be patient and let this play out. Sports culture in general has really become "what have you done for me today" with their attitude. Marcus Freeman is going to build a dominant, fast football team, something extremely difficult to do with their academic standards

Learning curve I guess, weird one yeah, but this is freeman's first year as a head coach, new staff in general, not much experience in some key locations, mainly receivers early (who've really improved). Im excited to see what freeman will do

well, on the plus side... they're back in the top 25. On the negative side, their hops for a championship game have been lost. STILL, they can still land themselves a tier 1 bowl game.

We just are proud of the steps forward that this team has made. This win will go a long way towards helping with recruiting. We dont have to say ND is back because we've been a top ten team for several years now. It started a little bumpy but we're moving forward. Frankly, I don’t even care if this was one of Clemson’s weaker teams compared to past ones, the fact that Notre Dame laid the beat down on them is encouraging all on its own. If Freeman can build off this win and get some key pieces in the recruitment phase, he might sincerely bring Notre Dame out of the pretenders bracket and be a real threat in the upcoming years. Excited to see how this turns out

Notre Dame joining the Big 10 has been something I've wanted to see for decades. They'd be the perfect fit and are in Big 10 country already. ND joining the ACC (in basketball only I think, so weird) was such a letdown.

Nothing at all against Drew Pyne, but I do wonder what this team looks like with an Elite QB?
I mean, because we have some really good WRs, and at least 2 or 3 TEs who can dominate both Recieving and Blocking...
And obviously the Running game is elite. The O-line has finally gelled and is playing as we all thought they would in the beggining of the season.
The Defense is stout as long as the Offense doesn't leave them on the field for long stretches.
And Special Teams? Forget it! They're awesome!

CBS extended highlights of Georgia vs Tennessee, 25 minutes. NBC's "extended" highlights of Clemson vs Notre Dame only 8 minutes. Apparently NBC doesn't understand the concept of "extended".
Clemson would have needed to perform better for there to be anything more to add to the reel. It was basically three plays and punt half a dozen times. NBC literally showed every major play of the game for both teams.
Looks like Clemson's reign as a football powerhouse is really over , I haven't seen them get beaten this bad in a while. 💯 The whole ACC looks pretty weak after Syracuse , Clemson and Wake all fell this weekend. 💯 This is a great win but I have a bad feeling about the upcoming game with Navy ⚓. The Big10 is like any other major conference. Two good teams yearly, maybe a third, but the rest suck. And I mean really suck. Look how much they’ve been pumping up Illinois. What has Bret Bielama consistently done whenever he’s been?? Nothing. Absolutely nothing. Notre Dame would go into their house and grind them down just like they did their last two teams. And don’t get me started on Michigan, they win an outright championship for the first time since 2003 and if you listen to their fans they’ve done it a dozen times. I’m sorry but @NBC these extended highlights this season are awful. These used to be so good. They used to tell more of the story of the game and include more plays. All this does is add replays - while that is nice, it would be great if it would include more critical plays like 3rd down conversions or big runs.
