  • Learn how to create custom frames for Canva with the help of Adobe Illustrator. Canva frames are a super powerful way to place your images into any custom shape that you like. Standard Canva does not allow us to create frames yet, so this technique is very helpful and easy.
As Canva becomes more and more popular, it is important to have as much flexibility using this awesome design tool. So, videos like this particular one is intended to solve an issue I struggled with for a long time and I'm sure other designers have also battled with before.

Do you know why it doesn't seem to be working with rectangle shapes anymore? Works with any other shape. I used to be able to do it with rectangles as well (since I occasionally need a frame of specific proportions and Canva doesn't that have many options for simple rectangles), but since recently I haven't been able to do it.

@@canvacue No problem I think I may have figured it out - procreate does not do vector only pixels so maybe I will try using an svg file. The key seems to be to have that vector file so the image snaps. There are other ways to make the image transparent on the inside so you can kind of use it like a digital stencil in canva but the image wont snap to the shape which is a bummer.
