Commenting on the missing valve cap, that is done on purpose... It indicates that you play 1ST part. Because of the range you rarely use the 3rd valve... Something old school players use to do back in the day (70s)... Good to see the young bloods bringing it back. It's one of those if you know you know.

Goodness, that King's Affirmation is THE best arrangement I've ever heard from them in 20 years! Not to mention it's the best among all the bands this season. It gives me chills every time. Gracious.
That arranger is Kevan Johnson. He’s responsible for a lot of early 2000s arrangements for the BOOM.
JSU has such a clean sound, even at high ranges. Very impressive.

Karr only got to that current school a year or so ago (I forget. Visited Karr with my dad way in the last year they were in their original campus as he went to high school there. Literally 2020 right before the pandemic too). It's cool to see that it helped bring an opportunity like this for the high schoolers around the area.

That’s a Pro Marching trombone, 3 ventielen in Bb, trombonium. I played in A.J Bell and John Mac band back in the late 80s to the early 90s.

@@KBThaBandhead Not totally. I grew up watching lil Wayne manager playing and he was the first person I saw toss it up. But the first time I saw SU was when they played Alcorn and they were on the opposite end but their z’s were great. But times have changed and that’s what I’m talking about. SU z’s got great flashes in songs but it’s other sections who is right there
