Andy has really become one of my favorite reviewers. He always really makes sure to to look at different parts of a game to give his thoughts on each of them, and how they work together. He also is really good at pulling out little examples of things he thinks does and doesn't work.
Legit I enjoy every time Andy gives his thoughts on game dev. He seems to keep in mind all aspects of the game like combat, direction, level design etc.
I found Blessing’s gripe with no counter crazy. Please look into the Resolute strike and start playing this game with only pressing heavy as a counter. It doesn’t fix the Repetitivity of the combat but it makes it 2X as easy.
This is my closest to Rebirth for game of the year so far although Stellar Blade was pretty awesome too. Rebirth was amazing though and makes me sad it kinda underperformed in this weird world we live in and I hope part 3 isn't hampered by it in any fashion.
Andy is the best! Crushing it with great feedback, pros & cons. Man I hate it when Bless is like "I don't feel ok to give it a score so far". We all get that but this is why this is called "Review so far", it should be "Here's my score so far, at this point, but it might change". That's it.
Trial and error in Amoured Core "this isn't working let me go back try this build" is great a driving point. In black myth "this isn't working let me go back try this build" is a draw back, make your mind up guys.
I appreciate Blessings comment on arpg exhaustion. Its refreshing to listen to a reviewer admitting hey maybe my review isnt hitting the mark because im tired of hard games at the moment
@@Jamesonfp The idea of volumes was first started by Tim. When the show first started, Tim would introduce the show as “The First Ever Episode #.” I believe when Blessing joined KF full-time, they reset the episode count back to 1, and Tim would say “The Second Ever Episode #.” He stopped saying the number at some point later on, but essentially I dubbed this shift as going from volume 1 to volume 2. Though the episodes weren’t numbered anymore, I’ve kept track. When the show shifted from a weekly to a daily format, I took it upon myself to label this as volume 3. And that’s how we’re here now.
Great to see a KF review for this. Dislike that blessing was already fatigued before going into this game but at the same time, appreciate the transparency. Feel like that could really impact the review in a negative way. Blessing could work on articulating his points a little more when on reviews so I could feel convinced about his points. I gotta say, I thoroughly enjoyed this pod. I think that Andy guy really knows how to dissect a game and look at it from a biased and unbiased perspective. I was able to relate to what he was saying and it helped convey what he thought about the game really well.
The combat is phenomenal. It continues to get better and better throughout the game. It's similar to God of War 2018/Ragnarok in the sense it's repetitive in the beginning but as you gather runic abilities and level up the combat opens up more and is addicting
Yea as much as I love this style of game and FromSoft titles I often need to take breaks away from them. I can appreciate the challenge Blessing mentions of reviewing many of this style of title back to back. It would get exhausting. I'll eventually pick this up but in no rush.
I'm the same i think. I was excited for Stellar Blade but never picked it up. I bought Erdtree but fell off after 8hrs or so, and thats after putting in nearly 200hrs in the base game on release. I've been excited for Wukong but realistically dont see myself picking it up anytime soon.
