This is exactly why you should study to show yourself approved. This story doesn't belong in scripture. Know as pericope de adultera in the scholarly circles, this text can not be found in any of our oldest bibles. I believe anything written prior to the 6th century. So his masterful explanation is just his own eisegesis.

That's a really weird blessing (ie. "May our triune God...") . Nowhere in the New Testament does "God" ever refer to 3 persons. Nor do they ever pray God and mean the Father and the Son and the Spirit.

@@AmenArmy There is no example in those verses (or anywhere else in the Bible) when "God" (or YHWH, or LORD) refers to more than one person at the same time. If the Trinity is true, then why doesn't the Bible ever refer to those "3 persons" at the same time with one word? (eg. God/Lord/Elohim/YHWH.) Look through the whole Bible: these titles/names for God, always refer to ONE person. Why is that? This enough should be enough to show you that a "3-person god' is not the one God of the Bible.
1 John 5:7 simply shows that Father (the ONLY God) AND His Word and Spirit all testify to the truth. God’s own word and spirit have indeed been given to us to testify to the truth. Aside from the fact that God's word is NOT a separate "person" than the God, the verse doesn't even use one word (ie. "God".) to refer to those three at the same time.
Titus 2:13 properly translated (eg. KJV) says "Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and OUR Saviour Jesus Christ; (ie. 2 persons).
In the Bible, Jesus is called "the Son of God" not "God the Son".

Correct me if I'm wrong, but your original comment about Matthew 28:19 implies that you think that the Father, the Holy Ghost, and the Son all have the same name...Is that correct?
If that is true, than you must admit that the name of the Father and of the Ghost is "Jesus", since we know for a fact that we are to be baptized in the name of "Jesus" (Acts 2:38; Acts 8:16; Acts 19:5) and clearly the disciples understood his words to them in Matthew 29:19 better than you and me.

Love the teaching. I'm also convinced that him writing twice is also symbolic of the fact that Moses destroyed the first tablets containing the commandments, and that God did in fact write them with his finger twice.

It is interesting also to note that Jesus told the woman, "Go and sin no more." meaning,"Go and do not break the Ten Commandments anymore." 1 John 3:4,James 2:10-11. For she was committing adultery (Exodus 20:15) this made her guilty of all. Indeed Grace and Law are inseparable.

Maybe this helps. You kept saying Jesus is the fountain of living waters. So what he wrote had to be shocking, dramatic enough to make them think AND act. So maybe it was not words he wrote. Maybe Jesus made the dirt wet, Then said, Those without sin cast the first stone. Then wrote wet again as they witnessed a miracle convincing them who he really was?
