Man, I went to art school and not only did it completely make me hate making art but it also thought me NOTHING about art and I mean literally almost nothing, the teachers would always praise every single thing anyone ever made even though it looked like dog shit and most people didn't progress at all, we did exersises and still life drawings without actually being thought why and what we should focus on and take from it, we weren't really studying much of anything in any of the art classes, just mindlessly copying things that were in front of us but man this guy and that other guy on here which also compulsively insults everyone in his videos really revived my love for art and my willingness to actually draw, thanks man, I'll be applying some of your tips 100% :)
I honestly wish my teacher was as cool as you, she basically sits there texting her husband or whatever or putting marks on children's drawings and we're in the back just chatting or coloring some shitty drawings and that's why you don't go to art school kids 🤓

You make it enjoyable and like, actually tell us how to do things- There's a lot of videos out there that tell you "Learn how to draw things before you learn how to draw them in your 'style' " but they don't tell us how to get to that point of how to learn how to draw properly and it pisses me off because then I don't know what to do and I continue to do whatever it was I was doing previously
