I don’t mean not cutting any cards, just making to the point where you have the right proportion of ‘rares’ to ‘nonrares’ with the largest possible cubesize.
I can’t speak for Anthony, but I believe the reason he did not do this is that the “base” cube is only big enough for 360 with the occasionals added in, so while it would be possible to make the cube bigger and keep the ratios the same, it would involve expanding that base, which I think would be a lot of work and also risk losing the essence of the cube without a bunch or play testing. Maybe he could have simply doubled every card in the base list as an easy way to scale up, but then he’s acquiring hundreds of new cards and sleeves just for this event.

If you want there to be the right amount of variety in the Irregular cube even with a fully accurate published list, why shrink the cube down to 360?
