- Tornadoes wreaked havoc Friday in the Midwest, causing a building to collapse with dozens of people inside and destroying and damaging hundreds of homes, many around Omaha, Nebraska.
KTLA 5's Omar Lewis reports. (April 27, 2024)
KTLA 5 News - Keeping Southern Californians informed since 1947.
The worst tornado activity in a year 🤦🏼♀️ seriously?! Did he just say that?!
DEI
I thought I'd misheard and said, "In how many years???" I don't remember this much tornado activity in much more than a year and it could get even worse today. 😢
Praying for all! Believe in and trust in the Lord and ask Him for forgiveness, life is not guaranteed. 💔🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼✝️
He was saying in a single year
@@FlushaArtI'm glad you think it's DEI, while more money will be sent to Ukraine before these people get help.
Prayers for everyone that got hurt and lost their homes/ businesses 🙏

Good to hear LA addressing the Midwest
Will home insurance companies leave these areas as well for having many open claims?
😂😂🙄🙄
Insurance is a scam.
@@artbyddpone of the best scams too. Almost as good as the banks and that scam
Omar, you did a fantastic job reporting the weather and you look good doing it too. Keep up the good work and the stylish appearance. 😉
It's sort of funny that whenever there's high winds here in Vegas, 1 day later the midwest gets these Tornadoes..
🙏🏾
That suit is sharp!
How come no one ever says a freight train sounds just like a tornado?
Because freight trains are scarier than wind... I guess.
Since freight trains are more common than tornadoes, more people are familiar with the sound a freight train makes.

The immigrants are on the way to replace all the damaged roofs..Idk what we would do without them..
Don't build in tornado prone areas.
every place has them
Looks like new construction in farm fields.
I think the count is 80+ tornadoes now
We live in perilous times the bible says
Earthquake BAD- Tornado WORSE.
It is the way the weather has always been this time of year . People act surprised about it ,

What's your solution, We all move to the coasts, and you just get your food at the grocery store?
No thanks, I'll take my chances with the tornadoes. Plus, that would completely flip the voting demographics...
...on second thought, maybe that's a great idea.
@tredinabrown2249 The Bible tells us if u rebuild he will throw down.
Native Americans knew tornados ALWAYS move from the SW to NE. Their nations, to escape death and injury would move SE to NW out of its path..
Furthermore. If houses were built with some effort toward CRAFTSMANSHIP I suspect the damage wouldn’t be so devastating. Remember, Native Americans in the plains states lived in teepees and wigwams
Mike,, most of the tornadoes in the area doesn't move very fast,,some do..And you can see for miles..Here in Mississippi,,dixie alley , you cant see them coming.. and they move 50 to 60 miles per hour...And it's ridiculous to criticize these people..This is where all your food is grown,, they can't just up and move..You apparently live where there isn't many tornadoes...
And no tornadoes don't always move north east..The Reno tornado moved south then northwest.. Google it...

So which is it F3 F4 or F5?
Probably f4 more than likely it's based of wind speeds I believe
Officially F3 as of today. I live here.
What the hell do you still live in a tornado zone?! After the 1st time im up,..., that's just bad decision making,...especially if you have children
JC-vk6ii Not always easy to move! Walk the shoe before you berate others!
Great place to live, but it comes with a sky full of risk. Just like gulf coast states, particularly Florida, beautiful place to live, but the possibility of hurricanes. And as far as living in a big city, you're more likely to die from many various situations, then you are from a tornado.
There is a lot of farmland around so we can all eat, they live there because their work is there.
@@brooklynn52dee38im not berating others, it just becomes irresponsible, and its a constant debt that the fed has to pay to rebuild in areas where people refuse to relocate. If you want to be completely unreasonable thats fine but think about the children and animals at least
Get some Hispanics out there to rebuild your homes ASAP.
No one can recover from disaster alone.

I'm kind of with George Carlin on this one.
They'll stay put and rebuild until next year when it happens all over again. Kind of hard to feel sorry for them. Except the kids, they have no choice.
