Rail Blazer Six Flags Over Mid America commercial 1984

In 1984 Six Flags over Mid America (now St. Louis) opened "Rail Blazer" as the "new ride" opening for the new season. While it wasn't a full new coaster, what they did do was replace the trains on the Mine train with stand up trains. while it may have been a good idea at the time, and it would have been one of few stand up coasters built at the time, but unfortunately the coaster didn't even last a full season. at the start of the season, a woman fell to her death from the coaster as it traveled around the portion of the ride where there was a helix. The ride was closed immediately after the accident, and the mine train cars were put back on the track when the park opened the coaster the following season.
