On April the 4th, 2024 a rather special concert was held to mark the launch of Rack Records the new label from Steve Davis and Gaz Williams. This was the night before the global launch of the label on the 5th of April.
Rack Records is a specialist label focused on capturing raw and improvised collaborations between two or more musicians. To celebrate this we held the Rack Records launch party at the Cube Microplex, Bristol. This was a series of improvisations between musicians who had largely never played together before.
Eight musicians were randomly assigned a player number (1-8). Payers 1 and. 2 would start with player 1 leaving after 15 minutes. Two one hour concerts took place. Part one players 1 to 4 and part two players 5 to 8
Part one saw the following performances:
8:30 pm Nina Richards and Ben Chilton (lifeisfeedback) 00:00:05
8:45 pm Ben Chilton and John Doran 00:15:27
9 pm John Doran and Robin Vincent 00:30:21
9:15 Robin Vincent and Nina Richards 00:44:58
    9:30pm finish
    Camera 1 - Katie Davies
    Camera 2 - Jason Jervis
    Live sound - Tom Kirton
Thanks also to Bleep Klub for providing the lounge vibes. If you are interested in jamming electronically and are local to Bristol why not pop along to a Bleep Klub meet up?
