A few years ago I went for microblading. They look natural. I get a lot of compliments on my brows.I am lucky that it lasts a long time so I am able to go a year or more in between touch ups. In between touch ups, I just use a brow pencil to fill in areas that I feel look like it's needed.
That sounds fantastic ❤️ @Doreen Costabile, and if it lasts for a year??! It maybe more economical to do this than getting mine laminated! Especially when I have to go every 6 weeks! I am going to do some research and try to find a reputable person who can do microblading, because I hear you have to find someone really good! OMG Cat!! I needed this video so much lol. I’ve never ever had my eyebrows shaped and I just pluck them. As I’m getting older, I’ve noticed very sparse areas…especially the front of my eyebrows. I use eyebrow pencils and it’s always a struggle. My eyebrows sometimes don’t even look related lol. One time I had an appt with a specialist (he was a real cutie pie) and when I arrived home noticed I had forgotten to fill in my brows 😱😂
I’m going to try your method and thank you for your tutorial. I have several pencils that I like. NYX, Benefit, GXVE, ABH, ELF, Cover Girl. I’ve been reaching for Lawless recently and really like it. You rock the red lip Cat!! 😊🇨🇦 PS I just ordered from Amazon organic castor oil as I heard it helps with eyebrows. Worth a try.

Thank you Cat - this was a great brow content! Oh I hate to say this but I'm a child of the 70's we plucked our eye brows! Sometimes I wish I never started. But we did. My brows now are very thin and not growing thickly any longer. I actually have found the NYX the snatch and lift a perfect brow pencil for me - then I use Elf's brow gel or ABH's brow gel. Until now I would paint on this stuff and call it a day --now that practice will change --- better brows better day! Thanks again -- great video...
Yay! This is just exactly what I was hoping for, thank you Cat! As someone who started teen years with a unibrow and ended up many years later with eyebrow hair loss, you show that the patchy look CAN be dealt with. Thanks for the ideas and product suggestions. Never used to leave the house without lipstick, but now I never leave without eyebrows! 🤣

Awesome tutorial for how to fill in and shape your brows, regardless of your age, Cat! I was blessed with full, archy brows. I tweezed my unibrow for years, so it doesn't come back anymore. Now I just tweeze errant hairs. I love BeneFit brow products. Their microfilling pen is one of my favorites. I also like the L'Oreal Brow Stylist Definer micro-fine pencil and also brow powders with a brow brush (Smashbox makes a really good one). I am brow-product obsessed, lol.

Thank you Cat, great tips. I also love Patrick Ta brow gel and got 2 b glued brow / hair gel. Tip on Anastasia brow gel if dries up get Cotton pad wet with purified water put inside abd close for a few days until clear again. Kokie has a nice micro brow pencil too.

Thanks Cat!! OMG I have very light blonde hair, my brows are bushy but very light, almost translucent! Finding a good shade for blonde hair is tough. Most are Toupe which looks gray on me. I just use colored gel to set them and give them color. It's an ongoing struggle to find a gel that is a good color. Thanks for the video!!
This was a great video! I got my mom a pencil and I think some brow gel a little while ago, and this will be a big help for me when I try to work on hers. Hers are sparse, but unruly.
It also gave me some good tips for mine. I told a friend mine look like one's going to a dinner party, and the other is going to a rave! 😂 They are thick, long, and grow any which way; a few are curly. My mom started tweezing them at my request when I was about 14-15, and they definitely ended up overdone. I decided to try to grow them out during the pandemic. Jamaican Black Castor Oil is good, just have to be consistent. And I'm still missing a patch at the front of both brows lol. I still tweeze regularly, but I've changed my approach, and am slowly changing the shape to a more straight instead of high arch. I love getting them waxed, but don't get to often. 💜

Great tips! Going through chemo losing my brows was worse than my hair. Rock a cute hat and there you go but brows really frame everything. Side note I got 12 inches of snow in Morristown yesterday. Hope y’all are well in Chattanooga 🩷

We got around 4-5 inches of snow, and then the sleet came and froze everything! The temperatures are dropping rapidly, it was in the teens this morning and currently 22! Utility companies are calling to remind people to leave their faucets dripping and EPB announced we may experience "brown outs" tomorrow! 😞 ya'll got alot of snow! Woohoo! I just wore hats with brims and wore fringe bang hair pieces. But I have recently seen videos on temporary eyebrow tattoos. They looked really promising. Thank you for asking 🩷
Hey Cat, Thanks for this video. I am lacking in brows too and I never even really plucked them... I think age and hashimoto's- also for whatever reason my brows and eyelashes tend to be blond which adds to the problem! I really like the kosas brow gel because it's not too wet- and the brush is tiny. Both of them help me because the benefit one always got on my skin. On a side note, I live in Huntsville, AL and for my anniversary the other day we went to Chattanooga for the day because we are vegan and we love the restaurant Cashew. I was so excited because we also checked out the cosmetic market in the warehouse district that you told us about in a previous video. I loved being able to check out the RMS stuff and the Westman Atelier stuff in person. I also splurged and got the OSEA body oil. So nice if you have dry skin. I really appreciate your videos and am excited to see that you are almost to 10K - congrats!

Oh girl i totally get it, and I’ve got a story. After giving birth to my fourth baby at 40(!)…. My sweet husband booked a spa experience for me, including brow waxing. I said I like the high arch, just wanted a clean up. She left me with ONE single line of hairs!! 😭 it was 18 years ago and products weren’t as good as they are now. As you know, it took years to grow them, but I have a decent brow now, but I do ALL my own brow services from now on…I trust No one. I love doing lamination, using a kit from Amazon. I like the Elf wow brow tinted for thickness. My favorite brow gel is Ardell brow confidential duo , it’s a powder one side and a clear gel on the other with a ultra skinny and grippy spoolie that holds my brows in place all day. When I want more definition the ABH slanted tip brow pencil, and Elf skinny micro brow pencil are my go to. As usual it was a wonderful video, thanks for a super important video. Love the red lip.

castor oil - just a little bit on a qtip …. i have big full brows but i had no brows in early y2k bc i loved my moms 70s look. it’s taken a long time but some has grown back …. but if you pull they will come out . i tried a bunch of different serums and i liked them but i’m back to the castor oil - pure not diluted- bc it’s cheap and works as fast or faster . i don’t have my brooke shield brows but i have a lot more hair than before 😭😁 i’m patient tho so i’ll keep using it . i usually see quick results . on days where i don’t need polished brows i just use the castor oil and no pencil etc . really enjoy your channel and the way you put a look together is chic and i love your recos! i actually have had that elf glow halo filter thing but i didn’t know how to use it until i watched you and now i’m using it all the time so ty! happy new year !

Thankfully, I never got into the overly plucked brows in the 90s. I think I was too busy being a young mom.😊 My brows have definitely thinned since menopause many years ago, but, I'm grateful they're not completely gone.

I also have no tail on one brow and i didnt pluck through the decades!! I also have lots of grey hairs that i have a hard time getting anything colorwise to stay. Once i try a gel it takes away any color and colored brow gels dont work as well as clear ones for making the stubborn greys stay in place! Lots of issues here...lol. Any suggestions appreciated. Ihave tried powders, hair powders (for grey), clear gels, waxes, fiber brow products, pencils and pens, you name it!
Hello @Deann ✨️ have you considered getting your brows laminated and tinted? If color doesn't adhere to your stubborn grey brow hairs, you may want to try a tint! I've done it several times and love the results! At least have a consultation and see what they say 😊 it lasts 6- 8 weeks, and I get mine done at the Brow Bar at Ulta! Great video, your brows look amazing. This is my least favorite part on my makeup routine, mine are not even related, friends living in different states🤦🏻♀️. I’m always so fearful of shaving my brows when I’m shaving my face, I’ve gotten close, but avoided disaster, lol. I shape my own brows! Have a great week🩷

Your brows look great! You definitely can do a lot with products and technique 😊 thank you for sharing this tutorial with us! I used to have thicker eyebrows. Went through the 90s but didn’t follow the trend of pencil thin brows thankfully. Now as I’ve gotten into my 50s I’ve just lost brow hair. It’s thicker in some spots and sparse in others. I still have quite an arch. I tweeze my own brows. I have had them waxed in the past but I’m fussy with them so usually I just do them myself. Like you said, they frame the face and just complete your look; make you look pulled together so I’m a little picky lol I usually use either the maybelline brow pencil that is very fine tipped (I think it’s supposed to dupe the ABH brow wiz) or I will use the ELF brow palette you showed. I love that little thing! Then I will go in with either ABH brow gel in the tube or the ELF brow freeze in the pot. I usually only use that if my brow hairs are being ornery 😂 I very rarely go anywhere with my brows not done. Even if I don’t wear any other makeup I do my brows and put on a lip oil or lip gloss and usually some mascara. I hope you have a great week ahead! Sending much love hugs and prayers your way ❤️🙏
hi Cat! 🙋🏻♀️ thnx for the tips and recommendations, I too feel naked without doing my eyebrows bcuz they're so freakin' thin and sparse 😬 I never had thick brows to begin with and I'm guilty of overplucking them when I was young🤦🏻♀️ I basically have to draw them and then fill them in, it's that bad 😭 and then the few hairs I have left grow sideways and downward, it's impossible to hold them up 💁♀️ when I get ready I spend 10-15 min just trying to make my brows look half decent but I'm honestly tired of it, I've tried several lash/brow serums (both high-end and drugstore) but the results have been minimal, I started applying castor oil a couple of weeks ago hoping it helps 🤞... have an awesome day my beautiful friend, hugzzz 💜🌹

My brows are super unruly, especially when the lamination wears off 😁 I find the only thing that tames them is a good brow gel! Oh that was so much fun Cat, and instructive too! Do you find a waxy pencil is better or a proper pencil? Sometimes the waxy ones don’t colour the space between the brows very well. Errant hairs - I certainly have those 😂❤

My mom would not let me touch my brows as a teenager in the late 1980s. She grew up in Butte, Montana when the brothels were still in full swing. She believed that only prostitutes plucked their brows. I never did anything with them until five years ago when I got serious about makeup at age 50. Just my luck--my Brooke Shields' brows were in!
