My argument is that silver becomes mostly useless late game. You say that regular fame farming levels the entire set, but for me I spend 2 hours in a blue zone static to level a weapon from 1 to 100 spec for the cost of 17 million silver, 1 hour to level an armor from 1 to 100 for 8.5, 30 minutes and 4.25 million for the helmet, same for the boots, and only 300k silver and a few pulls for the offhand. In total I spend about 4 hours and 34 million silver to have 100 spec in a full set of gear. The fastest I see people fame farm in black zone, roads, etc with fame farm builds is 9-12 hours to reach 100 mastery, not even spec. In that time frame most of them reach around level 72-75 spec at the most. 1-75 is around 15 million fame. 75 to 100 is 18.5 million. So people can grind with a crappy weapon for 18-24 hours to do what I can in 4. Of course for NEW players who don't have 34 million silver to blow at best can farm 1m per hour so it'd take them 38 hours, but anyone who has been playing for at least 3 months should have the passive incomes and silver hoard to to make this happen. If a maxed chef makes 2.5 to 5m silver in 15 minutes of work per day that means it takes 7-14 days of 15 minutes per day to reach that silver, or 1 hour 40 minutes to 3 hours 20 minutes, add the 4 hours of static dungeon grinding, at most 7 hours 20 minutes to get the same results as someone doing the manual grind for 18-24. One could argue the silver gained from manually leveling would help but new players would just die hundreds of times and have to constantly bank the second they get a good chest. While it'd make sense if you only ever wanted to play one single build the entire lifespan of the game, I feel like everyone who wants to play this long term should first level a PvE set because new weapon lines are always coming out and being able to spend less time fame farming means more time having fun and doing other things. While people are gonna sit down for MONTHS to level the new shapeshifter weapons I spent 14 hours farming the combat fame credits so I can immediately 1 to 100 them the first day. One could argue that dying over and over in the mists is cheaper than blowing it on auto respec, satchel, etc but I'd rather give my silver to the SYSTEM rather than have it taken by another player. If you ask most people if they'd rather lose $100 by having it burned or having someone rob them, almost everyone will say they'd rather have it burned. I also feel like weapons like hammer, or staff of balance, should be leveled by the guild these players serve, and not something they should have the burden of leveling themselves. Finally, I feel like cursed staffs in general are one of the best "good at everything" weapon lines so no one really loses by leveling them up. Kind of like a "fame farming dividend" of sorts. Weapons like hammer or staff of balance don't really have multi-purpose uses so only players doing group content would really find a use for it.
First, your numbers (1-100 for 17 million silver) somehow imply you were not using a satchel. And you either were using it, therefore your method flies up to exorbitant cost or you are not able to "level a weapon in 4 hours in a safezone static". One or another please, stop spreading misinformation. If you are using a satchel on a set that's already fully 100/100 you might as well use tomes and not even need those "2 hours to level up a weapon, 1 to level up armor, 1 to level up boots+helm", that would be cheaper and that would save you the cost of leveling a pve set. If you are not using a satchel, you're going up to the same amount of time spent as a black zone farmer (which is around 8h for a full set, in your case you're leveling it separately) except you're losing silver to auto-respec while a BZ farmer is at worst losing a couple sets to gankers while getting all the BZ rewards.
@@John_Doe13 Don't bother with this guy he's not all there upstairs in the popcorn room. Even with an 8.4 Satchel 115% + Ava 15% + Conq 10% + Premium 50% + Faction 10% you'd have to be farming T4 static only when it's fully enchanted to get even remotely close to this guy's made up numbers. Even then you wouldn't be able to do it with 0 specs because you'd legit die 1 v 1 to the enchanted mobs, lol. This dude also 1000% does not have access to the Ava 15% or Conq 10% buffs because he's a fucking Yellow Zone rat, lmfao. You have to actually play in the Black Zone to get those buffs. The only way that this rat could get either of those buffs is if he pays a massive fortune for it because he's deathly afraid of stepping into anything that's not a Blue or Yellow Zone. That, and because everyone in the game knows he's a damned rat and will drop him the instant that they can for the lulz. Which means that he won't ever be able to complete an Ava for the 15%, and can't even pay a guild to let him siphon points to reach the 10% buff.
You compare your effecient PvE set to newbie, who has nothing on them. I don't think, a new player can just go grab 8.4 PvE set and start grinding statics with it. He requires max spec on the set (to have credits), the set it self, and silver which is around 100m + tons of time invested before hand. I did show, that i achieved 13m fame(6.5credits) on a 1200IP set per hour which is pretty similar result to blue statics, but still painful to the wallet. As for experienced users, I believe usually such player already got plenty of credit points/tomes of insight stored they can spend to insta max gear they want. Guild leveling does do the job better, no argue there. But this is just an example to demonstrate, what one can achieve on horrible PvE options. If person enjoyes cursed, no problem, they can use it right away, which is good, since they will have both good PvE and PvP option!
I mean, some people called it silly guide, but that's because they enjoy messing around in with SC or they play curse. But you lots of people = lots of opinions!
@@ButterscotchTheButty I think everyone like me just think about the benefits to maxing pve set, about future progress. But I don't realize In that process I make the game not fun to play. I should from the start pick the weapon that I like to play and have fun, and play it until I don't realize it's already maxed. Should not ever overthinking something and just let it flow, eventually I would get to the place that I want to.
I did the numbers about the Fame credits and the fame earned, and what i learn was always using a 100 Armor and the rest items you need to level up, using the respect on it will not be too much expensive and have and approach close to using a full 100 set with respect on
I really like that someone is actually making videos about this, I did this about 4 months ago when I started playing although not very in depth but I managed to find out that ava roads with a not fully specd weapon was way more efficient than a fully spec'd weapon but the only thing with that was the old ava road mobs were superbly hard to kill depending on the weapon of choice and it was faster just to farm them with my shadowcaller but after the new update beyond the veil I feel like almost any weapon with high enough ip can farm them
if you use specific build, not every weapon is capable of grinding roads, it is kind of a chore, but, if you level something like nature staff, then sure!
@@ButterscotchTheButtyi now used 1h mace with same armor and rest of build as you had but still without using Lp or anything i just started farming open world mobs it was boring but i did it for sake of lvls but still after 40 mins i was only able to reach 1h mace from lvl 28 to 31 pls help me😢
Where can I find the table of equivalent damages, that is, what you explained about changing a leather jacket for the wizard tunic is as if you were more IP. Where do I find all that information?
that comparison is done using raw damage output, since higher damage may drastically increase grinding speed or even allow for quick kill combos. This may be available much easier on mage robe vs leather jacket (since lower dmg bonus), but this damage still can be achieved, you just need higher tier weapon to compensate.
I try to go the most dps build possible (full cloth+thetford cape) and trying to get IP, that will allow me to oneshot packs on low cd abilities or rotate them (like Q+E, then Q+W) this allows my abilities to be ready and i can kill without any downtime. If i ain't getting any damage, I might as well eat omelette to get this cd even lower!
@@ButterscotchTheButty i went mists with battle axe 4.2 and got only 560k per hour how do you get up to 3 mil i do have premium and at that time i had 60 level spec on armor and weapon
@@dj2jz767 Do you focus specifically on mobs/abbeys ? You gotta try to ignore everything else and just keeep grinding non-stop, trying to minimize down time, which may be random at times because of players.
Sure fame farming in mists aint bad but could you please further elaborate how to max out a weapon in a single day that way? Because I am none stop doing mists right now and am surely no where close maxing out a weapon in a single day unless by a day you mean 24h of play time? From my experience a lot of potential efficiency gets lost because of bad mist layouts and other players keeping you away from camps and chests.
Lots of efficiency comes from constant mob grinding, it doesn't have to be camp specifically as for people. I didn't have much problems. Usually, in an hour, it is that one 8.3 double bladed tryhard, but if you got a mobility swap (i use dbs stunrun technique), this guy aint got nothing to u. (In avg you get ~1m per 18 min. of abbey. But it takes like 10 minutes to find an abbey, which is not that good at the end. (~2.4-2.7 if you grind everything vs ~2m if you look for abbey alone)
This chart shows how much extra IP you would need on weapon, to hit the same result. So, in heavy plate to have the same damage as full cloth, you'd need extra 500 IP (which is a lot and prob not worth :( )
now my question is , if you have all your clothing lvl 100 and only your weapon is the one that has no spec , would that makes your weapon receives more fame or it would receive the same amount of fame as if your clothes had no fame ?
Roads are the best fame farming spot. Even better if you have a single target weapon. Roam trough the small coridors, kill solo avalonian mobs, avoid drones and do green chests if they are up(risky and not needed for fame).
If you got one of these weapons already maxed, it may be ok and even better with credits, but if you're looking for playing your build right away, you can just take your build and level, this way you will also get used to abilities.
Hey butty, I don’t fully understand the table. What does the 3.5 in mage robe / head bonus cell mean exactly? Confused since mage robe is not a head piece. Rest of the video was really clear and informative, and I love your content! Thanks.
Meaby for someone who is new to the game, it is better to max out your set that you want to get first. But in the long run pve set will be better. Once u maxed the pve build (which your doing once) u'll be clearing mobs faster = more $$ and maxed pve set with other maxed items from the same category will give u even more fame credits. long run - pve set / but for begginer meaby his first or second set should be gained normally, not with respec
What i said for pve set, maxing it for fame alone is a bad idea, pve set is like gathering, you level it to get an edge at making money while pveing and credits come next, unless you go for respec, but then you need to now money for that. The main thing is - we should enjoy the game, not turn it into second job, so if one wants to pvp, pve or anything, just get set for that, level it a little and do your stuff! :)
Great video!!! It's very helpful but I have a question, Is The mist the best place to get the most fame for solo fame farming or is there a better place?
Ava roads can give even more fame, the problem is that you're limited to a veery small pool of weapon choices, so if you got extra silver for autorespec, you can hit maxed weapons in record speed.
Hmm i see, but here me out: if u spec up a pve build ur gonna get way more overall benefits than a pvp weapon, ofcourse unless u dislike pve which i sort of do, but i do group fame farms with my guild as carving which is my fav weapon rn so doesnt change much for me
The video is for people whos looking for guide on how to fame farm pvp weapons. He just showed the difference between using a pve weapon and use the fame creds. to spec up pvp weapons, to just fame farming pvp weapons through pve methods. So this video changes a lot to those people
It is mostly for those, who don't have super effecient PvE build or a lot of money to sustain that. So, if one wants to have fun in content they found enjoyable, it is better for them to start playing their build right away!
hi love the vid i thin k you got lost in math or is it just me, ff with weapon you get 100 % and 60 % more if u have full spec cloths no ? love the vids man just trying to understand since im new to the game
The only caveat i encounter, is that in BZ Mists i seem to be a gank magnet with a huge „please kill me“ sign above my head. Everytime i encounter another player in BZ Mist, i just die…
There are few things to consider: Experience (gotta learn when and what abilities to use (being able to rotate abilities between packs allow for much higher farming rate)) Luck (Sometimes you will get much less people, which could be the factor as well) Knowledge (being able to escape gankers/know how to move around the map effeciently without wasting to much time) There are a few factors there, so there's some room for improvement. Let me know, if there's something specific, you think, slows you down.
Haven't played in a while, recently I wanted to post something again and got caught with my pants down by 2340923094823 ppl, maybe that's more common now 😄
Buddy i already did the math before and as i saw your video, i thought first they changed something. But i need to say you that your numbers are wrong. You can double check it by popping some tomes. It is way easier to track. @3:18 you wrote +65% and this Number is to high. Assuming you want to level a weapon, have the mastery on on 100% and every thing else on the mastery as well as the specialization on 100%. The highest value you can reach is 30%. If everything is maxed out you are on 40% fame credits without auto respec. So the basic idea you try to tell the people, leveling only one item at the same time is most effective is right. But your Numbers are a bit to high. On the other hand with auto respec on you quadruple the amount of fame credits. That means you end up with 160% respec points with a cost of 1 silver per credit point. That means you end up with around 17kk silver per weapon from 0-100. I challenge you, if i proof you wrong and i explain you the whole theory about this system, you rework this video and make the topic even easier to understand. If you are interested leave a comment and send a discord link to the gmail of this account.
If your build is fully maxed with an offhand, you get up to 42% as credits, which then, maybe converted to weapon fame (1 credit per 2 fame) which is 84%, 20% of that is a weapon itself, which may result in 100% (with a new weapon) + up to 64% as extra fame for a weapon. as for silver, yes, you require 15m for a weapon (17m credits, but full build will cost 30m (33m credits).
@@ButterscotchTheButty just pop a tome and confirm by your self. If you do that with an offhand, maxed out and it is 10k tome. See what you will get. I bet its 4.2k credit. That makes 42%. And if you would calculate with 1 credit per 2 fame, you would be at 21% ;) Proof it! After that settle down. Drink a cup of tea. We all make mistakes. You put kind of efford into that video. Send me an invite and i will show you the system. After that you can explain it way better.
@@knalltuete7311 Do you even know what you say ? You get 4.2k credits, if you use it on any weapon, you will get 8.4k fame for that. That's not 21%, but 84%. Getting 2 fame per 1 credits is twice more, not 2 times less.
@@ButterscotchTheButty First of all you dont get fame per credits, you get credits per fame. When i pop a tome/ kill a mob it unleashes fame. This fame can be converted to credits. These credits i can use to spec up my gear. When i pop a tome 10k andi am wearing gear that is 100 inside and outside maybe with offhand(+2%), i will get 4.2k fame credits. Fame and credits have the same value in terms of specing up gear. That means i can put 17kk credits into a weapon, or i can ff 17kk fame. Sure i need to kill more mobs to spec up a weapon via credits. But it will be still 42%. pls just check it out. I popped a lot of tomes and raided so many 8.3 avas. I burned so much silver using auto respec. I know what i am talking about. Take a deep breth and and give me a chance. Pop a book!
2 millions fame by hour means 33 000 fame per minute. It means 6 mobs (5k xp in the mists with a (maybe) non pve weapon). I don't understand how you achieve this.
Good video but : You can resell your PVE investment later and some build allow you to do alone some contents that give you a lot of fames. and for shadowcaller since you take it as an example, it can also be used for HCE later, so it's not a waste for everyone =)
That's why i mentioned "they're not great for pve alone" if you're not looking for silver. PvE builds are like gathering profession. You get silver primarily and fame secondary. It also works if you need one or few set pieces.
I feel like you're missing some things here. 1. PVE farming should also net you a return on silver so it would offset what you spend on the conversion with Auto respec. 2. you're testing with 1200 IP which is either high spec or high tier weapon with no spec. Not really a fair comparison since it's a safe bet people will be starting from zero and not running around with tier 8 weapons. 3. I highly doubt you could count healers or tank specs here since their ability to kill efficiently is terrible and generally require a group to fame farm if you're not using fame credits.
1. Most of the time, it's only a tiny bit in comparison of what respec consumes. On other hand doing PvE on weapon you want to play also grants you money and you can even PvP with it! 2. True, 1200 IP can be an issue, but every weapon scales the same, so if we go lower tiers, we'd get exactly the same % less dmg (so should be around the same % less fame) (but i'm not sure on that topic) 3. I did the tank specs, and yes, if one wants to use heavy plate in pve and achieve good farming rate, they'd need to have 500 more ip on a weapon! in comparison to mage robe (that's insane, it is like 6.0 -> 6.4 MP )
Thanks for the video, its very informative. How do you calculate fame per hour? I use albion statistics tool and can barely reach 2.5m with fully leveled up cloth pieces.
I believe it tracks your log, and calculates how much fame you get in total. Normal fame and combat fame is displayed separately. Il take a closer look next time. @@ButterscotchTheButty
The tool tracks correctly in my opinion, but still I cant reach fame per hour higher than 2.5-3m(heron spear + cloth build), and if we take in account dying it goes even lower.~2m normal fame + 400-500combat, tested mostly in common mists, since its easier to find them.@@ButterscotchTheButty

@@ButterscotchTheButty sounds good, I'll try it and tell you
My argument is that silver becomes mostly useless late game.

I did the numbers about the Fame credits and the fame earned, and what i learn was always using a 100 Armor and the rest items you need to level up, using the respect on it will not be too much expensive and have and approach close to using a full 100 set with respect on
Ye, it works!
I really like that someone is actually making videos about this, I did this about 4 months ago when I started playing although not very in depth but I managed to find out that ava roads with a not fully specd weapon was way more efficient than a fully spec'd weapon but the only thing with that was the old ava road mobs were superbly hard to kill depending on the weapon of choice and it was faster just to farm them with my shadowcaller but after the new update beyond the veil I feel like almost any weapon with high enough ip can farm them
PvE weapon with respec will be faster, but there is no money in avas rn 💀

Top tier Albion Online Guides Content.
This was great content, I enjoyed the numbers and would love to have an explanation on how you got the game percentage stats.
i just did myself like 80% as credits vs 100% + 40% is = 75% differenc. Please specify, thanks!

How to achived that high fame per hour ?
I dont get it sorry .
Could explain more ?
I try to go the most dps build possible (full cloth+thetford cape) and trying to get IP, that will allow me to oneshot packs on low cd abilities or rotate them (like Q+E, then Q+W) this allows my abilities to be ready and i can kill without any downtime. This Vídeo is a MasterPiece. I LOVED IT!!
As long as it helps with your faming!
I must have miss something how you can get a tier 6 weapon with no specs with 1200 ip?
I thought you don’t get any fame credits until the base tree is level 100, and then you get more when you reach 100 of each weapon
ye, you don't get any, if your set is completely fresh, but this is the moment, when you get the most fame on your set!
Can u explain the Chart on how to achieve the same dmg on a weapon/gear?
This chart shows how much extra IP you would need on weapon, to hit the same result. So, in heavy plate to have the same damage as full cloth, you'd need extra 500 IP (which is a lot and prob not worth :( )
you said you kill all "evolved" mobs on the way to the camps in the mists. Does that mean all mobs that glow?
by evolved i mean, all, but tiny ones (not ghouls, rock gatherers, small skeletons, small xbowmen etc)
wake up honey, new butty video just dropped
now my question is , if you have all your clothing lvl 100 and only your weapon is the one that has no spec , would that makes your weapon receives more fame or it would receive the same amount of fame as if your clothes had no fame ?
Omg i have goosebumps when i hear music from Gothic
:)
Roads are the best fame farming spot. Even better if you have a single target weapon. Roam trough the small coridors, kill solo avalonian mobs, avoid drones and do green chests if they are up(risky and not needed for fame).
Sounds solid, but way too inconsistent, i'd like some values on that topic in 1200 IP :)
So basically using spiked/nature for grind ton combat fame credit won't hurt? Cause i have to level tombhammer and other stuff.
Thanks.
head and boots bonus is what passive you should have on cloth helmet/boots (which is +3.5% dmg)
I love this music bro!
1:03 oh god gothic soundtrack
Hi I don't watch but I will give a like and sub for you, keep it up man

Thanks for the useful info butty
Btw patreon/discord when?
Great video!!! It's very helpful but I have a question, Is The mist the best place to get the most fame for solo fame farming or is there a better place?
Ava roads can give even more fame, the problem is that you're limited to a veery small pool of weapon choices, so if you got extra silver for autorespec, you can hit maxed weapons in record speed.
So from what I understood, go auto respec and farm mist?
You can do it for great results, if you got PvE set full spec'd up and ton of money to burn through.
Nice video keep it up!
We will for sure!
hi love the vid i thin k you got lost in math or is it just me, ff with weapon you get 100 % and 60 % more if u have full spec cloths no ? love the vids man just trying to understand since im new to the game
Is the shadowcaller build you show at the end good or are the others better?
Group content as a solo is not good anymore since you're getting only 31% of intended fame and loot.
@@ButterscotchTheButty But for only non-group green dungeons, which one would you say is the best or that one from Shadowcaller?
@@erickosorio6842 Nature or something, that's capable of 1shotting packs with a combo + having cooldown short enough to be ready on next pack.

It only comes with practice
brother i know i am way too late but how do you get those numbers i tried and i am getting way less
There are few things to consider:
Experience (gotta learn when and what abilities to use (being able to rotate abilities between packs allow for much higher farming rate))
Luck (Sometimes you will get much less people, which could be the factor as well)
Knowledge (being able to escape gankers/know how to move around the map effeciently without wasting to much time)
There are a few factors there, so there's some room for improvement. Let me know, if there's something specific, you think, slows you down.

@@Outlawproductions582 Obviously, there are more conditions to the succesful farming without getting spotted with a pinch of luck included as well.
Getting 2 fame per 1 credits is twice more, not 2 times less.
man trying so hard to prove his point 💀 B for the effort I guess, but as you said "We all make mistakes"
Pop a book!

The fastest is probably the world boss area, but you want a decent group and be ready to fight others (like rats and other divers/farmers)
I understand after second times i watched this, thank you...
As long as it helps!
2 millions fame by hour means 33 000 fame per minute. It means 6 mobs (5k xp in the mists with a (maybe) non pve weapon). I don't understand how you achieve this.
Great video!
Glad you enjoyed!
bro it's very amazing video for real
As long as it works for you
Im pretty new to the game what is a good weapon to focusing in?
This is an ultimate question, while the answer is "it's up to you!"
There are a lot of good weapons that can be used in different scenarios.
Good video but :
You can resell your PVE investment later and some build allow you to do alone some contents that give you a lot of fames. and for shadowcaller since you take it as an example, it can also be used for HCE later, so it's not a waste for everyone =)
2. True, 1200 IP can be an issue, but every weapon scales the same, so if we go lower tiers, we'd get exactly the same % less dmg (so should be around the same % less fame) (but i'm not sure on that topic)
3. I did the tank specs, and yes, if one wants to use heavy plate in pve and achieve good farming rate, they'd need to have 500 more ip on a weapon! in comparison to mage robe (that's insane, it is like 6.0 -> 6.4 MP )
but where is the t8 reputation thing that was in the thumb, i got baited aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
