The friendly atmosphere, didn’t have any big queues for a drink and believe it or not a Guinness still cheaper than Cheltenham. Best advice get there early and soak up every minute of the brilliant atmosphere

Week 8 selection Karniquet Martin Pipe 12/1 (captain) Daryl will be a miss in the double green and always had a smile on his face when interviewed and a great insight today. Barry spot on with Corbetts Cross have done it at 14/1 NRNB I suspect if Fact or File goes elsewhere and Banbridge had its Gold Cup already it may end up as low as 6/1 second or third fav.
Exactly the logic Izo. Couldn't had said it better myself! Up the Corbetts Cross. Didn't Galopin Des Champs place in the Tattersalls Novice Hurdle before bolting up in the Martin Pipe ? 👀
@@champdotie Certainly did. Karniquet had all sorts of problems in the Future Champions and time may show was not given a hard time against an exceptional horse as if another day was in mind last weekend. Showed a massive turnaround with Bleu De Vassy who was second to Romeo Coolio albeit 9 lengths but would still give a great chance in a handicap depending of course on the British Handicapper (probably why the defeat was 13 lengths.). Still a way to go yet but definitely on my shortlist.
Hard to disagree with this. Ruby very complimentary of Karniquet before racing also

I just think she is good value for a race which is wide open with question marks over the horses in front of her in the betting.
She won her race last time out in Dec, before that she came 5th at Punchestown which you can forgive her because she made a terrible mistake 4 fences out, and then her appearance before that at Fairhouse she easily beat Only By Night who is one of the fav this year and already been tipped up by a lot of pundits.

A lot of water has gone under the bridge since Galopin was tipped for a Martin Pipe at 14s 🤣

The only reason I backed Kopek Des Bordes for the Turners was because when asked which was the best Novice in the yard is Danny Mullins immediately said Salvator Mundi, if i hadn't seen that interview I would of backed KDB in both races. Gutted.
And Danny will probably ride Salvador Mundi in the Supreme now

Another risky one , not even priced up by some firms , beaten less than a length by Hello Neighbour at the DRF. She ain't gonna beat Lulamba and East India Dock in the Triumph . I've only been impressed by Sixandahalf among the other mares and Maughreen is beatable. I hope. Backed her 10/1NRNB with Sky.

Barry your persistence on taking on GdC is just bizarre. Every year
It's more the type of race and the price respectively tbh. 7 horses won the Gold Cup at Odds On and Galopin was one of the 7 last March. Horses are not machines and have off days. Galopin Des Champs has been beaten on 5 occasions over fences in his career and will be having his 17th chase run in the Gold Cup. At his price, believe there is a good opportunity e/w considering Galopin has run in 3 Grade 1 races already this season.
He'll never learn 😂
Galopin Des Champs was once tipped on this show for the Martin Pipe at 14/1 don't forget! Nothing against the horse only his price, his mileage and the race he is running in 🙏
