I agree also like the Shine strong hold gel. I used it as a topper over the Hydro Flexi jelly and my leave in was Soultanicals Frizz Whizz. I had an AWESOME Washday!
Sadly, my hair doesn’t like the In Shower Style Fixer gel no matter how soaking wet my hair is when I apply it. I have looked at the ingredient labels and the Shine strong gel is very similar to the Fixer gel. The Shine gel does not have as many plant extracts which makes sense bc the Fixer gel is in the moisture line. One plant extract in the Fixer gel is aloe juice. It’s in the middle of the ingredient list. The Fixer gel always makes my hair flash dry. I’m no chemist but I’m guessing it’s the Aloe.

I grabbed that strong hold gel IMMEDIATELY. My curls are on the looser 3a-3b side and they tend to fall apart after day 3, so light hold gels just aren't an option for me. I NEED a medium-strong hold. At the same time, it is high porosity due to permanent hair coloring (once every 3-4 months) so I was slightly skeptical as far as 'will this give me the moisture I need???' then again, I already use highly concentrated leave-ins (the oil-in-cream, also curlsmith), so I've already got that area covered!

Because I was thinking of re-purchasing the In-Shower Style Fixer (one of my top faves) but then I held off like "nahh I'll wait a while" and then I saw everybody online freaking out over this new line and I was like, I am SO glad I didn't buy the ISSF after all because now I get to try a new one! 🥰
@@curly.glorii Right now my most favorite combo with the gel is the Shea Moisture Jamaican Black Castor Oil leave-in and Nature's Little Secret's Irish Moss Styling Cream! both those products give my hair the juiciest moisture in the world, a perfect base for strong hold gels. What I do is I apply the gel is sections because it's so firm and gummy, I cant scrunch it over my whole head flipped over because it doesn't have the slipperiness that a gel like Treluxe has, does that make sense? With how dense and coarse my hair is, that has been the best way for me to use it, and I LOVE the definition I've gotten from it so far.
@@miae.carangi3889 that Nature’s Little Secret Irish Moss cream is fantastic for winter ❄️ isn’t it?!! And my hair is problematic frizz-prone crazy bleached 😂 so if a product can keep my hair under control, then it’s gotta be QUALITY. 😉

I've started using curlsmith but I'm super unimpressed by how much you have to use compared to other high quality products. For as much as it costs it should be way more concentrated.
