Type S has nice power gain from 1st through 4th. That 40ish HP gap between the Base and Type S make a big difference

Base and the type s are also the same block not really much difference apart from a few upgrades on the type s.
@@thomashaynes9487 that part is true. But when you're talking stock, 40hp is 40hp. The name also means something tho. Type S is like saying RS SS for a chevy or SVT for a ford
Everyone keeps talking about a 40 horsepower difference between the type S and the base model as Carroll Shelby once said "horsepower sells cars torque wins races".

Just found this channel and glad I did!! I’m a teenager with a very tight budget so I guess I can say I don’t have much to spend on my rsx. I bought an 02 type s with the 6 speed but she felt a little lazy compared to the one I crashed.. when we popped the hood i saw the a3 badge on the engine lol. What would you recommend if I want to big gains? She has the type s tranny and manifold and a cai I just feel like she can be faster.
Its really just the bolt ons the car uses. Watch mine and see how that compared to the Type-s you had.

Shop in the description made them with stock head and I haven't dynoed it it's street tuned.

What is the C logo all the way to the left on the sunroof? I live in CT and bought an RSX Type-S from Virginia that had that sticker on the windshield. I found out when I got home that the rsx I bought had kpro, and to this day have wondered if that was a tuner from Virginia? PLEASE let me know! Thanks!

Hoping an rsx base guy will answer. Just bought an 03 rsx base manual that is bone stock. Was looking for type s but too expensive or way to beat up. You can’t find a nice type s around where I live. I plan to daily it, any mods that won’t effect the reliability of the car but will make it more enjoyable to drive? Just looking for tips. I come from old Honda’s.
Id only suggest running basic bolt ons like intake, header, and exhaust. The car will still be reliable and have no issues. I'm only running basic bolt ons on my all motor base RSX and I haven't had any issues with that car for 10 yrs lol.

I got a question for you bro I'm in Australia is the acura rsx standard the same as our integra luxury dc5 ? Both have the k20a3 but I've been told the wiring and ecu is different and I can't get it flash tuned?

Maybe that's just were you live but they are 2-3x the price of the RSX here. Plus the RSX has a better chassis than the FG2 anyway. Lol
@@DC502civic629 here in florida they want like $7500 for a base rsx 5 speed with 180k miles. yeah i agree its a better chassis, handles better for sure. I had a DC2 back in the day.

No it's a base cluster, and yes it is reving that high stock lol

@@03focussvt943 probably not it doesn't make more power or make it faster or cruise better. Get full custom bolt ons for the base and actually make the car faster and handle better.
Hey brotha quick question my AC pulley got stuck im guessing bearing went out because it burned my belt and make some grinding noises would it be cheaper just to replace bearing or get the pulley out of a RSX A3 I currently have the ep3 with the A3 ??!

Probably but not sure if I did redline it or not. Go back and look through other videos, I'm sure it shows the dash better. I have no idea of top head.

Run custom intake like I have and gain power everywhere. No one makes good aftermarket parts for the base RSX period.

Skunk2 pro series intake manifold port polished
Skunk2 70mm throttle body port match to intake manifold
3 inch air intake
2.5 inch exhaust
Dyno tuned @ 165 whp 145wtq
My car doesn't RIP nearly as hard. I need your custom parts. I've tried contacting the people you put in the description with no success.
Either my dyno tune is trash or your parts are way better.
I feel like my car should be closer to 180whp with my bolt one.
Yeah the problem is those parts aren't designed to work with the A3. Those are designed around the A2. Shoot them another email I haven't heard of anyone having problems. They get back to me pretty quick, if you don't hear back let me know.
@@DC502civic629 I'm trying to save up some money at the moment. Its gonna be a while before I can purchase anything. What's the price for something like a header? I might just k24 swap it instead. I'm thinking new bolt on's from your people will be as much as a k24 tsx swap.
@@Silentjustin06 doubt it, my header was $200 and I still beat k24 swaps all day so you'll probably end up spending more, wasting alot of time, and still being slower.

bro today i changed the intake manifold sensor off and it still have a
engine light on yk anything that can help? because i took it to a mechanic and they told me the part and i changed it and it’s the same it won’t go away
Did you reset the code and clear everything after you swapped the sensor?

That depends on alot of factors. Hit up the shop in the description. They can give you a full breakdown on what you need specifically to your build.

Yeah but they are designed to flow for the A3 for max power and a tune too.

Thanks wait till you have kpro, driving on another ECU could cause the engine to blow up. Then your car will be broken. Wait till you have kpro to drive it.

The daily driver one has just regular off the shelf bolt ons like an AEM intake, race header, and 2.5" exhaust. The all motor is running custom built intake, header, and exhaust from the shop in the description along with there tune. Just allows the car to breathe better and make more power as you can see and feel.

You might not want to run that manifold on your setup. Id talk with them to see if it will make more power because in my case I lost power with that one.

How is the K-tuned replica shifter holding up?
Still good but alot of people are buying ones with no name on them and they are having alot of issues.... If you buy a rep with a K-tuned logo I think it's good but if not there's issues.

What engine mods are done to the daily rsx?
Cat delete pipe, some shitty catback, and ebay intake, that's about it lol. All that stuff came on it when I brought it from the previous owner. Deff not nice bolt ons like the other one. Major difference just in bolt ons lol.

This thing is a monster. Do u still have it? I’m probably getting a base RSX near spring and gonna throw on some bolt ons 👍 I have a 08 Pontiac G5 base right now with CAI, catback exhaust and fuel injectors and I hang with V6s all day. I love integras tho and sadly there so rare now the RSX is the next best thing.
Still have it just make sure you get custom bolt ons or you'll end up like my daily driver RSX lol

Nope regular old powerful plastic one. Didn't see a need to upgrade. Stock one works great.
DC502civic629 I did kpro and had to disable the secondary runners and noticed top end isn’t there anymore. Did you delete the secondary runners in the plastic one

I have a 2005 base, lowered with function and form type 2’s, cosmis wheels 17x9, innovative solid mounts, 1320 header and test pipe with k&n typhoon short ram intake. It’s got bride low max seats with harness and harness bar with the trunk gutted and no back seats
