- Today, let's ski The Legendary Back Bowls of Vail - Game Creek, Sun Down, Sun Up, Tea Cup, China, and Siberia. Subdued start to New Years Day 2021 at Vail Ski Resort in Colorado. The previous night's celebrators are taking their time getting out of bed. Eerily quiet at the top of the mountain with bright morning sunlight. clear blue skies, and long shadows. There's even some fog clinging to the valleys. The cold crunch and squeak of the freshly groomed snow surface sounds out loudly in the absence of voices. As the sun rises in the sky, so do the skiers and riders rise from their slumber and make it to the slopes. By mid-morning, the sounds of guests sliding, gliding, and riding can be heard all over the mountain. You might want to wear your sunglasses while you watch this, since it's a bright, bright bluebird day. Down in the valley, Vail Village is bustling with crowds and activity. People are glad to get out and enjoy life.

Was just there and am missing Sun Down and Sun Up bowls so much. This was almost like being back there. I enjoyed this video tremendously and really appreciate you sharing it.
Beautiful scenery and terrain. Obviously not very much snow but better than being stuck in LA traffic

I watched every second, AND I followed along on the trail maps figuring out where you were going the whole time! I feel like I totally know Vail now! And I really loved all the people watching at the end. It was seriously just like a scene in a movie where all the extras are walking at you, and it looks so fake. If I didn't know it was real footage I would guessed it a scene from a movie. SO fun!! Is this your home mountain?

Great ski videos! Nice and clear. It's so hard to tell how steep the trails are (or aren't) in most videos. But when you move your camera back and to the side, I can see it. Especially in your Beaver Creek video. Thanks for making this!
I is a pity that your wonderful effort was spent on Vail when it was a at an early season drought period and the conditions were so bad. I've seldom skied Vail when the snow was so icy and full of crud. And the back south facing bowls had barely snow enough to ski! And the area hand;t had snow for so long that it was all skied out. Please, do it again when the snow is good!

The Gondola opens at 8:30 on the weekends and 9 during the week.
are these mega resorts usually pretty crowded?

All these people spending a fortune at a great resort but resorting to snowplows. Take some lessons people!!
Every run is icy moguls. Worst terrain I've ever skied, literally the most overrated place
Evidently geeko has never skied any Eastern US terrain.
@@stevedugas8988 geeko hasn't skiied out East. Compared to the Big main epic resorts out west, Vail is by far my least favorite
