When the time comes y’all should do a hidden door for the office! My husband just did one for his office off our playroom. I can’t wait for part 2!
I wish we could! Unfortunately, the wall with the door opening doesn’t allow for a pocket door or any sliding door situation. It only has 4 inches of room on each side, and then the next angle of the adjoining walls. I think we’re gonna go with bifold doors, but we still have lots of research to do!
@@NatalieBennett I could see a bookcase or such on wheels with hinges that you can open and close on just that small opening since the sitting chair in near by.

@@NatalieBennett my husband built a bookshelf and put in on hinges where it swings out (or in if you need to). Maybe with research y’all could make ti work. Either way, everything you do is beautiful!

It's not the shade I would have chose, (I think a more warmer hunter, earthy green would have been better), but it looks really nice and sophisticated! I admire how much thought and preparation you put into it! I would have just picked a single paint off the home Depot shelf and gone with that lol. 😅

We painted our living room a moody green three years ago. Some people thought it was weird. We are just trend setters I guess lol. Looks great in your bedroom but I actually prefer the bedroom to be mostly white, including bedding. Not sure why though. Something about clouds lol

We did the same thing! After we went to eat for valentines Day ( my husband brought our kids👎(blended family) we went to Home Depot lol, so romantic .
As I said before, my house is #1 color, though a different brand. Adding the door/window trim was a real winning touch. I can't wait to see Part 2. It's been fun watching your house become a home over the last few years.😊😊😊

Three years from now when the dark and moody vintage trend is out everyone is going to be repainting their houses. It's always better to go with what you love rather than trends.
I agree! Weston and I have always wanted to do dark and moody even before it was the current trend so I am excited to see how the space evolves with us as we do! I’ve said it before. I’m definitely not a trend follower, but this is definitely one trend that I can get behind!

Ugh. I’m so confused on Brooklinen. I splurged a few years ago and they only lasted a few months I was shocked, maybe we got a bad set 😢
Oh no! I know they don’t want you to have that experience. Have you taken them up on the 365 day return policy or the 1 year extended warranty for core products? Their customer service is great.
I’m happy to say all of our Brooklinen pieces (including the ones we purchased ourselves before this partnership) have held up beautifully for a good while!
All, the youtubers that painted their walls and ceiling dark colors have painted them back to a lighter color.
And? Would it be a crime if someday we did the same thing? It’s just paint! This is what we like for now!

Not fully through the video yet but I noticed you sprayed over the outlets - I have always assumed that would be a no no with electrical but since he’s an electrician I’m guessing that I was mistaken? I’d love to paint over mine to blend in with my navy dining room!
Great observation! Outlets were disconnected, but left there for the spray job. All of the outlets were eventually replaced with new up-to-code ones!
It’s dark in my opinion, the living room has to be brighter and there has to be more nature light. And also it’s not nice that every wall even door is in dark color.

That’s just personal choice though isn’t it. Our bedroom is dark & we love the moodiness, it’s very calming. But again, it’s personal preference. If you like your bedroom bright then you do you.

The bedroom makeover looks great, different than other bedrooms ive seen but so cosy. Im not a big fan on dark shades but it has a cosy warm rustic feeling to it

We bought our house in 2022 and I’ve been planning a dark green bedroom since. I’ve been deciding between Pewter and Rosemary. 😂😂😂 Maybe this is the kick in the bum I need to start.
Our previous home was painted rosemary! It's still my favorite green from SW!

Ahhh beautiful color!! I, myself added color to “one room” after years of white everything. Let’s just say once you add a little color, it is so hard to not fall in love with the moody look. I am going to predict color will work its way into other rooms really soon!?!?

Am I alone here? i feel the small has gone from bright and open to dark and closed in.
That was the effect we were going for. A bright blah space wasn’t the most relaxing for us for a bedroom. Elegant and moody is now the vibe and we’re very happy with it!
Keep in mind- this project is only halfway done! I encourage you to keep an open mind and see the full reveal in part 2!

We did our bedroom in a very dark navy blue- Behr Starless Night- and we love it. Dark is so wonderful for a bedroom.
It’s really hard to tell the paint colors on camera but #3 really stands out the way the light comes into your room. I’m saying this before I see what you choose, so it will be interesting to see what you choose. I love the laser light you use to get things level on your walls.
