what I really want to know is what is the cable you're using, it looks like the plug has a swivel on it? that would actually be pretty useful if it holds up to movement over time.

That's a shame because this comes in way cheaper than Marshall's SV20/SC20 heads. With a tube screamer, OCD, or something else, you can easily cover both of those amps sounds AND you get a master volume.
The rear bias adjustment should just be standard on more amps in 2022. I wonder if amp manufacturers are worried about people messing up their amps tinkering with it and that's why they are hesitant, or if it's a cost thing? (Maybe a little of both)
I am positive that they don't want you going inside their amp designs and messing around tinkering and such experimenting, unless you know what you are doing and you are qualified. Because if you know what you are doing and are qualified, you probably already have all the required tools and equipment to perform the biasing of the power tubes in an amp. Therefore a qualified person that knows what they are doing can easily and safely bias an amp without the need of externally accessed bias points. The main idea is, I suppose, to keep curious but electronically untrained and experienced players from going inside the amp. Players often have questions regarding the actual bias measurements of their power tubes. Eventually they might open up the amp and start looking around. Checking things. Maybe purchasing a bias probe. And continuing to mess around inside the amp. But these same players often have zero knowledge of electronics or working on tube amps. This has become a dangerous situation, if you know what I mean. Keeping innocent people away from this dangerous energy is important. This is dangerous and can kill even the most trained and experienced person. Things like capacitors are dangerous. They have the capacity to store and discharge large amounts of energy, even after the amp or device has been turned off. This factor presents an immediate and present danger. You need to be conscious of this danger. You must stay out of the inside of these amps if you do not know all about this specific danger of tube amplifiers of which I speak. All tube amplifiers. Don't mess around inside without electrical theory and training in safety. Safety is 1st. In this way manufacturers are motivated to keep casual customers outside of their amplifiers. Manufacturers posses liability for the dangers presented to customers by their products. Manufacturers want to do the right thing. They want to protect you and they want to protect themselves.
Seems like an ok amp. None of tone was very impressive to me and you were running the SM7B into a Neve 1073 too. It seems like a good root amp for a lighter gain more melodic player running it with an HX Effects or other processor or a nice pedal board. Like you said a good pedal platform. I would like to try one when I get the chance.
The 5881 tubes get a bigger sound than 6V6 or EL84 tubes (typical 20 tubes) without the farty low end of an overdriven 6V6. Also, the 5881/6L6 are a cousin to the KT66 that was in Jimi's amps which were JTM45/100's as opposed to 1959 Super Leads (with EL34) adding to this amp sounding how it was intended. I love mine. Bravo, PRS!!!

Is this amp being made in Indonesia or China? I've got the PRS MT-15 and it's a beast of an amp and it's made in China and is actually a very high quality product so I was wondering where this amp is being made.
Tweed amps were made up until the mid 70s- they were just made overseas by a company called Marshall. The JTM 45 the JMP Bass same circuit as the tweed amps ... JMP Lead was a modded tweed with smaller bypass caps (and i think coupling caps ).. 2204/3 are truly different amps...those are something else..... a sui generis. Beyond what Roger Mayer thought up and implemented in his amps of course
I'm in the market for a low volume amp and when I saw this was released I immediately thought it was exactly what I'm looking for. I'm really disappointed that they did not put an fx loop on it though, wtf?! But I dunno, I still may go for it cause it sounds great in all the demos I've heard so far. Thanks for sharing!
Awesome alternative for huge amps and to get a great crisp sound and an idea of a full range tone. NEVERTHELESS I clearly hear that Orange Brent Hinds does the same trick extremely well. Not Rocker 15. Brent Hinds only.
Well I hope it's better than the PRS mt15 cos the over drive on them a total crap I had to use the Clean Chanel and put a effects unit threw with a klone so not bad now. But hay highly over rated would not recommend them to anyone
In Europe Marshalls are cheaper than in the US, however Fenders are more expensive. So prices will differ in other areas, but at thomann: -Marshall SV20H is €829. -Marshall Origin 20H is €459. -PRS HDRX 20H is €965. I used to own the Origin 20, even had it modded but it just didn't sound right to me. Bought the SV20H and it just does it all from AC/DC to Hendrix to van Halen. Now I don't see why one would need this new PRS amp, the master volume is nice, but these amps need to be loud to sound right anyways.

It is at the upper end of the price range for a lunchbox type amp. But I don't think it is outrageously over priced. Especially considering the "Plexi clone" market and what some of those amps sell for.

The full mix tone reminded me of an early mastodon tone. It had a specific punch on the attack that was very mastodon. Sick tones

Different amps can 'musically' fill your room differently. A 1 Watt valve amp can do it too.

i wish they would make more 30-40 watt amps.. 25 isnt quite enough for playing with a drummer and 100 is too much.
A bit higher than 30-40 watts but there's a 50 watt version of the HDRX

The drums in this mix are a tad too loud, can't hear the guitar to it's full extent.
PRS amps sound great...but their build quality is questionable. I owned the new PRS Archon 50 mk2 for a week before it literally went up in smoke.
if hendrix didnt play it then it isnt a hendrix amp. putting his name on it is kinda a marketing shame IMO. Sounds good though.
