Thanks for the video. I think the favourable employment data is skewed by schools like Harvard that I believe invented the degree. I do think like any degree, you will get out of it what you put into it. That is to say, if you use the degree to create meaningful body of work that is useful you will be wildly successful. This can be tempered by the reverse truth; that if you expect people to be magically waiting for you at the finish line with a bag of cash after a mediocre body of work you're going to be disappointed. I think this is largely true for a PhD as well as for an MBA. Education just isn't the meal-ticket it used to be. That being said you will likely be better off having it than not having it. This goes the same for a bachelor degree, masters, or doctorate.
Let's be clear. A DBA is for executives who execute in business and want to do research in their line of work. A PhD in business administration is for those who talk and write about business but have no practical expertise.

there are no dissadvantages
you dont have to list credentials on resumes and applications.
anywhere an MBA lands you, the DBA will promote you.
