I love the Turret and Probot play set. Even I just barely got one for the first time last year 🙌 it's the coolest of all the snow toys👍l was lucky enough to find it fully complete. IANs cases is the only place that makes a case specifically for it👌Love the show! ✊👊

Such a great set and I still have the one from my childhood in my collection! This set would be on the floor desperately trying to stop my Imperial Walker from advancing!

I wanted the Radar Turret mini-rig but never got it. I had the Twin Lasar Tank and my friend had some of the Imperial mini-rigs for his Assault Base.
No one I knew had the AT-AT or AT-ST as they didn't really appear in the stores in Australia. Snowspeeders, X-Wing and TIE Fighter were the biggest vehicles and these were the cheapest versions with no electronics that I can remember.

I think the TIE fighter and the X-Wing were better WITHOUT the electronics, honestly, so I don't think you missed out on that end. :)
What a beautiful playset Joey! I had the Imperial Attack Base as a kid but not the turret and probot set. I think I like the one you reviewed in this video better now. I like the prices too. That turret just looks iconic to me! Great job!

I was just going through my vintage collection that I got in the 70's and 80's and I notice that the title on my box was 'Gun turret and Probot Playset'.
The playset is still in great condition but the box is showing it's age.

I had a look and it's made by Kenner.
I do however have a Darth Vader 12 cardback that was made by Toltoys.
I have all of my Empire Stikes Back cards and Return of the Jedi cards in good condition but unfortunately only a few of my Star Wars cards made it through unscathed.

I always loved the Hoth outhouse and Probot set! Lol! Tons of play feature, iconic scene, add a Tauntaun and a Wampa...pure Kenner gold. Just to add since you mentioned Canadian playsets that included figures, the Death Star (a personal favorite) did come with 2 stormtroopers. Enjoy the content and Wishing you well!

I love it all! Had a turret & probot for years, but it just didn't scream keeper to me. I went with other collections, land of the jawas being the biggest among them. but this is a great video, kid. 👍

I know you are sticking to US Kenner releases but the Palitoy Deathstar was my favourite ever Star Wars toy. So many options and features. And I kept using it with Action Force/GI Joe and even some of the smaller transformers years later so despite being made of cardboard, it held out pretty well.

The ESB Hoth sets are so much fun! I just picked up a beautiful vintage Turret & Probot box recently to complement my complete loose playset too. I wish I could have sourced one with the cardboard insert, but it's so difficult to come by.
Are you on the hunt for vintage stickers for your set or will you be considering picking up individual pieces that might be fully stickered? Just curious on how "complete" you are aiming for on this playset run. It's a rabbit hole for sure.

Hey Mopar! I think I would like to go on the hunt for a sticker set and see if I can get the Kenner catalog. All I really ask for is the Playset to be complete, the box in displaying condition, and the instructions included. I think everything after that is a bonus.

That's a set I never had and for $100 boxed I'd kill for a deal like that!
Unfortunately that one is Kenner and not Palitoy so alot harder and more expensive to find in the UK.

Great video Joey. Love these and your passion in them. Also it's an interesting run down of the figures included in playsets. I have a most of these playsets and really am enjoy seeing them showcased. I love the Turret and Probot playset. In particular I like the Kenner formula of compositing different moments or locals into one set. Also the turret and probot are both pretty much to scale with the figures here which is cool. Keep these videos coming my friend!

What does it mean when you start a sentence with "so" when it's not an adverb or conjunction?
@@thecurationstation6310 ‘So’ at the beginning of a sentence is typically seen as a filler word, and used as a reference to casual speech patterns that are more colloquial. You know … trying to sound more conversational in nature.

I'd love to have even the turret and/or probot loose from this set, but having the whole set would be even better. I do have a Probot, but he's the one from the Power of the Force 2 line when they released him without a playset. He's super cool too and even fires a spring loaded missile and flys apart if you hit a certain spot.
The Probot stand that turns him and another figure and makes him fall over if you move the lever right is a great idea! It works great for the scene when Han and Chewie blast the Probot in the movie.
This set paired with the Imperial Hoth Base set would be very impressive indeed. I can see why you would highly recommend it as it is very cool.
The sets I'd especially love to have for display with my ATAT are the Micro Machines Hoth sets because those are kind of to scale with it and would make it look really big. I have a Micro Machines Snowspeeder that sits atop my ATAT sometimes which really looks close to being to scale with it.
I could only think of five of the sets before seeing the end of the quiz. I forgot about the Sears exclusives and the sets that only Canada got figures for. Great video!

I had this set when I was young.
I kept the box so that it looked like there were 2 turrets with the box in the background.
The Probot legs were not durable for play and quickly broke.☹️
My brother was a little too rough with the lever as well and broke it.
The turret was great but the stickers did come off quite easily as well.

Hey Anthony, there is a Facebook group called IC Paper. That group sometimes has items for sale like the sticker sheets.
It still always peeves me they never did a proper Bespin playset, just that ropey cardboard marketing tool. Hoth got TWO, for Gods sake! Although I do still love how inexpensive they were at the time, and how much play value they had!
And later on, if you had any GI Joe or Action Force figures, you could use them for that... 3 3/4" figures, vehicles and playsets were so temptingly interchangeable...😁

1:03 Probably wrong, but off the top of my head, both versions of Jabbas Dungeon, Death Star Playset (if you count the trash monster),Jabbas Throne Room, the Cantina Playset, and the Droid Factory (almost forgot that one). I’m almost certainly missing one though

Hey Flint! Thanks for following the Journey! I’ve been quite fortunate in my life, but I still have budgets set in place for all this. I think that having a budget and being responsible with your finances when it comes to collecting is key. So that’s why I made my collection sheet and I follow a strict budget guideline. I work in the creative profession for a living, so this channel is another creative outlet for me :). Thanks for watching and for your question!
