"you can add little clumps of clay wherever you think your cat wants to be more fluffy" is giving me real Bob Ross vibes and I love it. Great video! So helpful.
I appreciate how detailed you are in building up the cat’s face and body. You are extremely talented and a great resource for those of us who are just starting to learn how to sculpt. Thank you for sharing your talent
I am new to polymer clay and I am thrilled with the length and detail of your video (especially the redoing of the eyes and adjusting of the features which I tend to disrupt while working another area). Thank you Elizabeth for sharing your video. I will be following you and watching your older videos. Re the comment that this is too long: it’s possible to watch a video at 2x speed.
Finally! Someone that likes to use their hands! I've tried to follow miniature tutorials where they never touch the clay with their fingers, only tools touch the clay and I just can't do it! I have to touch it lol
Thank you for sharing your talent. The video was awesome. Your cat is wonderful. I appreciate a full video. The ones that are play in fast motion are not as good. I am going to subscribe to your channel. Thank you again for a fabulous video.
Wow very nice , you are a talented person , the cat is so cute it's like real , if you want some decorations put a bell on the cat's neck it will look beautiful and amazing but it's so beautiful and cute , keep it up your videos are very useful and interesting , keep on going All the best!!!😍♥️♥️♥️
Hi, I loved your video and wanted to ask if you work in a larger scale with wet clay? If you do, what brand of wet clay do you prefer? I used to sculpt in wet porcelain clay but where I live now, after retirement, I've had difficulty finding some. Thanks for any info you can give me and lots of luck in your future endevours!!
Hi! Aw thanks, I actually have never worked with it, though I dream to one day. Gotcha, well I’m going to try a new clay called CosClay that might have the ability to be sculpted at a larger scale as it’s more flexible and can be baked in a normal oven. It hasn’t arrived yet but it’s worth a try! 😄🤞 Thanks so much!
Bellissimo! Saluti
You’re welcome, thanks for watching! 🙂 I actually take tiny pieces of different colors of clay and smooth them into the cat (or any animal) before adding the texture. Painting isn’t my strong suit😅🤷♀️
Hi!!! I love the cat you made! It looks real and adorable. I just want to ask, what kind of clay do you use? The clay I use before is so soft and I often have to bake it several times before doing the next step. Yours look hard and reliable! Again, thanks for the video and I love the cat!
Hi! Aw thanks 😄 In that video I was using SculpeyIII clay but now I mostly use CosClay. Also, I store my clay in ziplocks so it doesn’t dry out or attract moisture (depending on the climate I’m in.) Hope that helps! 😊
Thanks for the good question. Just preference really. I started sculpting when I was little & always loved the aesthetic of mixing different clay colors together to see what hues I could make. So I have a lot of practice with colored clay and honestly I’m not good at painting 😅 Painting en post is definitely another cool way to sculpt though! 😄
Thanks for asking! It has been few purposes: 1) So the clay bakes more evenly (ie thicker clay takes longer to bake and is more prone to bubbles/cracking if not super thoroughly kneaded) 2) It’s more economical, so I can stretch a block of clay further. Hope that helps. 👍
@@miniezshopaww, thanks so much. that's great. i love your video! i'm making a model of my daughter's cat, who passed last year. probably going to have her laying down, as i think that'll be easier. never done anything likes this before! i have a model of a fox laying down, curled round, so i thought i could use this as a template, though obviously it's not a cat.
Obrigado! A maior escultura que fiz tinha 15 cms. Qualquer coisa maior e a argila que uso começa a rachar no forno. Mas talvez se você usar uma argila diferente ou tiver um forno muito bom. Boa sorte! 🤗
Oh! I didn’t even think about that. The cat I made in the video sadly got squished so I just used a photo of another cat I’d sculpted. I’ll change the thumbnail now to a another sitting cat I made. 👍

Best compliment ever 😄 Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it!

Excellent demonstration. Thank you!
Oh My! what a great video. I never realized how many shapes there are in a cat's face! Can't wait to try.
Aw thank you! Oh cool! Hope you have fun 😄

Aw thanks! Agreed! I mean tools are great but there’s nothing like feeling the clay. 😄
I love cats but never been successful sculpting one -thank you so much for this super cute tutorial. I will try again! ^^

Grazie! Mi fa piacere che ti sia piaciuto. Questa è una grande idea! Dovrò provarlo. Divertiti a scolpire!
Thanks for the Tutorial! Did you paint the cat then to get the cat on the cover photo :) which kind of paint did you use?

@@miniezshop Great! Thank you so much for the tip!
For sure! Best of luck! 😄
Obrigado por compartilhar seu conhecimento conosco, eu amei muito!! ❤
Ah, de nada! Estou muito feliz que você tenha gostado! Obrigado por assistir! 🥰❤️
Is there a reason why you don’t sculpt in white and then paint with colors? Just wondering what the pros and cons are in tour opinion.

please can you explain what the little ball of tin foil is for? thanks.

Lindissimo trabalho!
Mas muito pequeno, não tenho muits firmesa nas mãos.
Tem outro gatinho maior , de uns 15 a 20 cms?

The neighbour’s animals must be afraid of cats 🐈 🙂
Hi, can u Plse share a video on how to make peg doll dog and cat..sculpting face on peg doll using clay
Hi! I’ve never done a peg doll before but I’ll give it try and get a video out in a bit. 👍
Make a 🐴 horse
Ooh I’ve never made a horse before! I’ll definitely have to experiment with sculpting one and try to make a video!
Why are saying like so again and again but very good sculpting
Lol, I guess it’s my way of saying “for example” or “as shown” when I’m in the sculpting zone. Thanks!
Where’s the cat you have on its back…stop click baiting people
Oh! I didn’t even think about that. The cat I made in the video sadly got squished so I just used a photo of another cat I’d sculpted. I’ll change the thumbnail now to a another sitting cat I made. 👍
Tha video is too long
Put it on 2x speed!
Much better long then short and not detailed!
