Star kid..talent..and success is that triangle of Hindi cinema..if it is straight it will take you to the sky and if it is upside down then you will not find a place in the underworld.
Being a star kid is a different thing.. being successful is different from being a star kid and being talented is totally different from being a star kid and being successful.
And three contradictory things of this film triangle go together..
Firstly, you are talented, you can be successful..secondly, you are successful, that's why you are talented, it can't happen and thirdly, you are a star kid, so you are talented and successful, it can never happen.
Moral of the story is friends, if you have talent then you can be successful whether you are a star kid or not.
And this is what happened in the whole decade of 80s, when the superstars of yesteryear started launching their sons in films one after the other and from here the talent started..Friends, in the 80s, big superstars like Dev Anand, Rajkumar, Raj Kapoor, Manoj Kumar, Dharmendra, Sunil Dutt launched their sons in Putra Prem. Karan Kapoor, son of superstar Shashi Kapoor, started his career with veteran filmmaker and director Shyam Benegal in the 1978 film 'Junoon'. In which brilliant actors like Nasruddin Shah Jalal Agha, Shabana Azmi were working at that time. The film Junoon was rejected by the audience, but the film was highly appreciated by the critics. And Shashi Kapoor gave his son Karan Kapoor a small role in his film '36 Chowringhee Lane' (1981) and then went back to Britain.There he acted in the TV serial 'The Jewel in the Crown'. But even there Karan Kapoor could not leave his acting impression. And returned back to India and superstar Shashi Kapoor launched his son's film career with full fanfare, with the film 'Sultanat' in 1986. also got the advantage of being a son The film was not rejected by the audience but not accepted completely. This film is still known for the debut of superstars Dharmendra, Sunny Deol, and Karan Kapoor. Actor Karan Kapoor's work was liked, but audience rejected this film after initial weeks. The film did not work But despite being the face of the film, Karan Kapoor could not leave an impression of his acting on the audience.
