Afan Masts - My 1st time here! with Ride or Die💀Crew

#afan #emtb #mtb #emtblife #offpiste I was actually pretty scared to ride here as it's a first for me. Myself and Dafydd were the Masts virgins. Everyone else had experience. The top runs were great, a bit rutted, as expected where the soil is exposed with no larch trees to protect it. However, the trails in the wooded section were fantastic and I started to enjoy myself a bit more, maybe it's my love of trees. I cut loose to continue adventures on more forgiving trails and a few laps at Afan Bike Park. I have a tweaked knee from Thursday's descent of Bizzie Lizzie, where a foot blew off the pedal on a jump and I landed awkwardly. You can see that video, it's the previous one, I've linked it at the end of this vid.

haven't been to masts since the protest ride there "2019", are trails like medic still there or all new ones since the felling ?

First time up there mate but I was told all the pre-existing ones are ridable plus there's some new ones like Slippery Bob and some on the very steep dark side (Fossil) and some new ones going off that.

Thanks for watching and yeah it's going to be one to develop my riding steep tech. I've seen vids of fossil and other new lines and looks so steep fair play.
