Fury Road deserved so much more than just being mentioned alongside Mad Max 2. Honestly Fury Road is probably on top 3 action movies ever made. Its pure cinema . Its why we go to the movies. For me personally it was the greatest experience i had in a movie theater.

Leon the Professional, IP Man, Hero, Saving Private Ryan, Tombstone, Mad Max Fury Road, Kingsman, and my personal addition that I love that people don't often talk about Atomic Blonde.
When Harrison Ford shot the sword vs gun scene in the first Indiana Jones movie, he was actually supposed to fight the guy. He shot him with a fake gun because he was terribly sick that particular day of shooting.
@@navedqureshi4412 Yes. The weapons in all movies are fakes. Some are airsoft and some are straight rubber runs painted to look real, then they add the sounds, muzzle flash, and the smoke in post-production. Now given the year it was made, it might've shot blanks, but after The Crow, they went to straight up fake guns.

T2 on top - I show scenes from this film to my English or IT class students when we have subjects on films or graphics, as an example of a very well made movie and special effects. But its just a testament to James Cameron's craftsmanship and the whole cast of the film. Thank you for making this list! Probably my favorite to date! So many great movies highlighted on this list. I grew up on action movies like Con Air, Face Off, The Rock, Speed, Gone in Sixty Seconds. Here are some thoughts: - I was somewhat disappointed that Die Hard didn't make the #1 spot but when I kept saying to myself when was Terminator Judgement Day going to show up, it makes sense. Both movies are really good and are highly rewatch able. It could go either way for #1 and #2. - Thank you for Assault on Precinct however the year you listed it under was the original (1973) and you showed the 2005 version. I really like the premise and setting of that movie and it is almost but forgotten but what an action movie it was. - Many trilogies the second movie makes for an more impactful action movie. You got it right with Terminator: Judgement Day, Mad Max Fury Road: The Road Warrior, and the Dark Knight. I think the original Matrix set up the story of the franchise nicely but Matrix Reloaded was more action packed and had better action. - The Rock has to be higher, I'm sorry. The only time it didn't have action their was comedy infused in between. The action itself was top notch and how it had different action in different locations without the story as coming off as cheesey makes this an easy Top 10 action movie. - When I think of "non stop action" I think of The Raid. The movie has non-stop action. - John Wick, pick whichever one you want, should been in the Top 10. Now you say which one shouldn't, the answer is Indiana Jones or Predator. While their are great classic action movies, John Wick action sequences are out of this world. - Can we all admit that Nicholas Cage in the '90s was what Arnold schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone were in the '80s? - No Chuck Norris films. Not that I'm a huge fan but I thought the guy was revered for his action films? - I liked US Marshalls more than the Fugitive. 😉 - Thank you for making this list. With a ranked list like this no one is going to all agree. I get how you gotta give props to older movies like that 1903 movie. Well done!
Point Break gotta be top 10,but this is the best action recommendation I've seen.Especially mentioning Bond and Steve McQueen and basically covers every single era of action.I highly recomend watching this, its top notch
The Seven Samurai will always be my own personal favorite. Others are The Road Warrior, (Hey, I love George Miller's classic car chases) The French Connection (and the essential classic car chasing an EL train) ;-) and Heat, and The Wild Bunch, (Peckinpah's final machine gun massacre deserves a mention here whether it's a Western or not.)
Don't know about top 50, but some of my favorites are: Kingman: the secret service Transformers (2007) Captain America: the Winter Soldier Fast and Furious: Hobbs and Shaw John Wick franchise (too hard to pick one) Extraction 2 Dredd Mission Impossible Fallout The Suicide Squad The Dark Knight The Matrix Kinda hard to make a list honestly lmao
People didn't know how to process The Matrix? I remember exactly how they processed it, they blamed it for every real life act of violence that happened after its release even though the movie itself wasn't that bad lol.
It was also so unique when it came out that colleges taught courses solely based on it (focusing on philosophy). What other modern movie - all by itself - has that distinction? (none, AFAIK)
There are movies I miss so much from this list. The Uncut version of Léon (1994) with Jean Reno & Natalie Portman. and Le professionnel (1981) with Belmondo.
Trying to make a list like this is like trying to do a top 50 rock songs (which I'm sure Mojo has) no matter who you put on the list, you are always leaving some really great ones off. Mojo's best chance IMO, would have been to break this list into sub categories; SiFi, cop movies, westerns....ect.
I’m pleased to see the respect shown to the Asian films included on this list esp Hard Boiled, Police Story and special mention of the Killer as those movies influenced an entire era of Hollywood action movies, loved that Aliens made it so high and I’m in agreement, Leon the professional should’ve been here . That said Yippee Kiyaye 💪🏽

Die Hard: Definitive Classic Holiday Action 4. the Matrix: Hollywood + Hong Kong Anime Art 5 John Wick Chapter 4/Baba Yaga: a Modern Action Finale 6. Alien: for Strong Leading Woman and Great Effect of Action Horror 7. Seven Samurai: a Japanese Masterpiece 8. Raiders of the Lost Ark: the Movie that gave Action a Name: Indiana Jones 9. Hard Boiled: John Woo + Chow Yun Fat Collaboration 10. the Raid: Modern Classic

Rush Hour
The Transporter
Jack Reacher
The Expendables
The Negotiator shoulda also been on the list. Samuel L. Jackson killed in this movie!
I will stan Jack Reacher. That opening scene is amazing
@Sandile Mnguni nope. Denzel was not in that movie. Samuel L. was.
@Sandile Mnguni Yeah I can't believe they left out True Lies. It's one of Arnie's best movies. The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly could have been here too, but I guess they only wanted one Leone movie.
The Expendables agreed
honestly i just clicked on this video to see where the original Die Hard movie would be on her list. i am glad it made the list at all, and that it reached all the way to #2, although if it were up to me, i would definitely rank it as THE best action movie of all time
Kingsman, Fury Road and Die Hard With a Vengeance should be on the list.
How did Mad Max 2 get a spot and Fury road didn’t!?
@eating sugar no papa And mad max 2 is?
Mad Max 2 in recent years was voted the best ever action movie.
Kingsman Yes.
Die Hard 3 maybe.
Mad Max Fury Road No!!
It is one per franchise so you'd have to replace Die Hard 1 and The Road Warrior
Kingsman deserved to be on the list.

What's the reason that Leon: The Proffesional didn't make this list???
Agree
Because WatchMojo clearly doesn’t have room for all those suggestions. But yeah, I agree that Leon should be on the list, and Kingsman: The Secret Service.
Yeah, Leon its a better actionmovie than crap like Bad Boys and Fourius 7!
Örebro Tribune so F0CKING true!
Awwww that hurt me i love Leon Le Professional
Ninja Assassin needs to be on this list. It’s got non stop action and amazing effects. It is underrated to say the least.
The anime? Yes. Actually, I'm thinking Ninja Scroll. Carry on.
Beverly Hills cop should have been so much more higher on the list. Glad I agreed with the #1 spot.
They didn't even include Mad Max Fury Road! I think it should've been up there with Terminator 2 and The Matrix.
But it is really very low place fr Beverly Hills Cop
Big Trouble in Little China probably deserved a spot too.
Fury Road deserved so much more than just being mentioned alongside Mad Max 2. Honestly Fury Road is probably on top 3 action movies ever made. Its pure cinema . Its why we go to the movies. For me personally it was the greatest experience i had in a movie theater.
You're right. It's like watching a 2-hour movie trailer for an action movie. It's unbelievable.
no, the raid redemption is better
fury road > mm2
The raid
John wick
Die hard
Any rambo movie

Casino royale
Indiana jones clear
Good list. Obviously everyone has their opinions and they all differ from person to person but overall these were 50 great movies. That being said.... Leon the Professional, IP Man, Hero, Saving Private Ryan, Tombstone, Mad Max Fury Road, Kingsman, and my personal addition that I love that people don't often talk about Atomic Blonde.
I almost forget about "Barely Hills Cop" such a good movie
wtf it's doing at 49 tho?
BEVERLY HILLS COP
When Harrison Ford shot the sword vs gun scene in the first Indiana Jones movie, he was actually supposed to fight the guy. He shot him with a fake gun because he was terribly sick that particular day of shooting.
And had the runs!!! LOL true story
Fake gun?
@@navedqureshi4412 Yes. The weapons in all movies are fakes. Some are airsoft and some are straight rubber runs painted to look real, then they add the sounds, muzzle flash, and the smoke in post-production. Now given the year it was made, it might've shot blanks, but after The Crow, they went to straight up fake guns.

T2 on top - I show scenes from this film to my English or IT class students when we have subjects on films or graphics, as an example of a very well made movie and special effects. But its just a testament to James Cameron's craftsmanship and the whole cast of the film. And to think that the whole Terminator thing started 'cause Cameron had a dream and sketched a half broken machine, covered in human flesh, crawling on the ground. Life is ever so surprising.
You showed mostly footage from the remake of Assault On Precinct 13 lol
i know, i was like, cool, they included the 1976 version of asault, then looked up only to see the remake...lol
That's true! Why did they make that mistake?
It's a conspiracy of mine.. I've noted many mistakes over multiple videos involving Assault on Precinct 13 and other Carpenter films.. 💀😂
i love the Remake Assault On Precinct 13th
i’m glad they at least included some martial arts films including enter the dragon. so many films on this wouldn’t exist without enter the dragon

Thank you for making this list! Probably my favorite to date! So many great movies highlighted on this list. I grew up on action movies like Con Air, Face Off, The Rock, Speed, Gone in Sixty Seconds. Here are some thoughts:
- I was somewhat disappointed that Die Hard didn't make the #1 spot but when I kept saying to myself when was Terminator Judgement Day going to show up, it makes sense.
- Thank you for making this list. With a ranked list like this no one is going to all agree. I get how you gotta give props to older movies like that 1903 movie. Well done!
I had my “No Terminator 2” rage message typed and ready.
Point Break gotta be top 10,but this is the best action recommendation I've seen.Especially mentioning Bond and Steve McQueen and basically covers every single era of action.I highly recomend watching this, its top notch
The Raid is also under rated
Yes! Watch movies of different eras. I second that!
The Seven Samurai will always be my own personal favorite.
Others are The Road Warrior, (Hey, I love George Miller's classic car chases) The French Connection (and the essential classic car chasing an EL train) ;-)
and Heat, and The Wild Bunch, (Peckinpah's final machine gun massacre deserves a mention here whether it's a Western or not.)
"Hey. Uh, Don't I know you from some place?"
"Nah man, that ain't me. I'm from Buffalo."
