Thank you. Sure, you can create very good models/animations. I use all this for teaching purpose, so I prefer low poly models. You can go for realistic models. We are waiting for models from a practicing engineer like you, because you can add more technical detailing in your models...which will be helpful for teachers like us. THANK YOU ..

To wash the filter, we use air and water, and we inject air and water from the bottom. Where is the valve for air? injection?

Blender 2.91. I prefer low poly models for teaching purposes. So Blender 2.91 is a very good software for low poly modeling, fluid simulation, particle system, rigid body mechanics, soft body simulation, and animations.
