    Sir
horizontal detection means, shall we keep detector at horizontal to incoming scatter.
    Kindly assist
    Thank you

Could moving the sample relative to the excitation laser light source and detection optics reduce polarization issues? Could transmission Raman spectroscopy techniques eliminate or reduce inaccuracies due to polarization? Perhaps a 3-dimensional sphere of mirrors achieving total internal reflectance could capture the omni-directionally backscattered Raman frequencies and direct the scattered light to dedicated regions of the CCD to eliminate inaccuracies due to polarization? Likewise, perhaps a system of mirrors could also direct the excitation light to the sample from multiple angles to eliminate issues of polarization?

Polarization and the response of samples to polarized light are most often seen as a benefit of Raman, not an issue. However, to address the question, the most common way to reduce the impact is to circularly polarize the laser. This effectively ‘randomizes’ the polarization and any specific response of the sample to polarization is thus reduced. The collection optics and detection optics can ensure all polarizations in the scattered light are collected, but if the laser is polarized you will still see a specific response.
