Do my birthday was on Monday, I decided to make myself this cake as a treat and this fabulous Ina Garten recipe was perfect.
Ingredients:
2 sticks butter
2 cup sugar
4 room temp eggs 1 at a time
1/3 cup grated lemon zest
1/4 cup lemon juice
3/4 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
3 c flour
1/2 tsp baking sda
1/2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
Oven, preheat 350 degree F.

I just made this cake: I too used only the zest of one lemon but decreased the sugar to 1 1/4 C and salt to 3/4 ts (personal preference). Baked the batter in a heavy intricate bundt pan at 325 F for about an hour. Served with a light dusting of powdered sugar...Delicious! Thanks for reminding me of this wonderful recipe! Thanks for your version oh Ina Garten's lemon cake recipe. but Ina's recipe is incomplete as she showed her video making the cake and placing it in the oven but thats all she showed and that is where her video ended on food network.com.'
Ina did not show making the glaze to go over the cake in her food network internet video, and that is so unprofessional in itself..
