I seriously think Naruto could have had a bad ending by having everyone stuck in a genjutsu world and that would be how Naruto would be Hokage. Not that he couldn't be, but because there was no feasible way to beat Madara. That whole Kaguya &$$pull did temporarily destroy my love of the series. Thankfully (if you want to call it that) there was that second fight at The Final Valley. Good fight to finally put some closure to the series, but, I do think that if there was a way to just beat Madara, not have that final battle and have Sasuke spend some time in prison and then have everything end that way. That would have been fine.
That's probably how it would have ended if it wouldn't be a Show for kids.. because you know the bad ones always have to lose and so on. It would have been amazing to see Madara win.
