- This is our reaction and review of the latest album from one of our favourite bands, Blink-182. The album is titled 'NINE'. And not so coincidentally is the ninth album from the band. Blink-182 have been one of our favourite bands for many years and this is simply our reaction and thoughts on the album.

The smile on that guy face when First Time coming to chorus! Real fan!
Matt's vocals are the absolute best and most raw feeling in No Heart To Speak Of hands down. THat is definitely my favorite song on this album along with remember to forget me and pin the grenade. Many people are skeptical of or just dont like Skiba in Blink which I completely understand, however, you have to recognize when his specific style and talent shows through! And it totally does in No Heart To Speak Of!

When I clicked on this video I was thinking, there's no way I'm sticking around this long to hear two guys talk about the new Blink album. I was wrong, I enjoyed it about as much as the album and watched the whole thing. lmao
I didn't expect to like the new album as much as I did and there were def more than 5 songs I liked from this album. I'm giving 9 a solid 9.0!

Good stuff but you literally skipped the best moment of The First Time track...The Skibba verse. I love the sound and the way it is sung.
Skiba is the reason why Blink is trash. Some people don't have a good ear for music. Auto tune is bad.

I don't care if anyone is in love with Tom, I miss him in Blink but let's admit it. Skiba did nailed it with this one. This is THE SONG that deserves a music video.

When I heard "The First Time" in my mind I thought that it is a kind of "Feeling This" for the new era, but since this last one is too popular I doubt that they will change them in their concerts

they've said that they released blame it on my youth first because it was the song that sound more like old blink, and the reaction they received was not so good, and they loved that people loved the songs that wasn't that similar, what is great because skiba really sucks on playing old songs, but its great on songs where he has participation on the creative process and can add he's talents on

We decided not to include the tracks we'd already heard on this video. Although looking back we didn't mention it much at all. For what it's worth it was our personal favourite...before we heard the album! 🤓

I would think so, yes. That's just my opinion though. I saw interviews with the guys where they spoke of collaborations on this album. I would think they would be released at some point. Maybe early next year? Who knows!

I agree man. I couldn't get enough of this track and really focused on it in my review. I wonder if their opinion has changed at all after repeated listens.

I think that song is some of blinks best work ever. Reminds me of stay together for the kids, the chorus has so much passion it’s unreal.

I thought First Time was the best song, so was a bit downhill from there but still enjoyed this more than California

Its not a football match. Dont need to hear play by play. First track didnt sound like like 2 1/2 minutes cause you skipped over it

Blinks new album sucks. Or at least in the United States we don't like the auto tune. Mark sounds terribly auto tuned Matt Skiba is a poor mans Tom. I do like your videos and will subscribe. But Blinks album is so bad. Good thing Angels and Airwaves sounds good with no autotune. It's just sad because Blink was so good with Tom...
I find it hard to believe you like Skiba's autotune lol. But I guess different countries like different things. But I asked my Australian friends and they laughed at the album so who knows.
"In US we don't like autotune" yeah that's why every song in the charts is autotuned as hell 😂
It's simple logic, just because a song is on "the charts" does not mean it is a good song. If you have happened to check out the charts every song is trash. Blinks album was a major flop where Angels and Airwaves new singles have been a major success. They have gained 600,000 listeners in the last month. Mark is very talented and nobody wants to hear his voice auto tuned. There's a difference between auto tune and tone corrector. As a big Blink fan this album is embarrassing. I used to want Tom to come back but not with that trash.
Auto tune and "tone corrector" are all the same thing. Although I've never heard of tone corrector. I'm assuming you mean pitcher or something similar. Over here (The UK) Tone corrector is something people use on their skin. Anyway.. Some artists like the auto tuned Travis Scott type of sound. (I don't personally) Where as others use it to pitch correct. Melodyne worked wonders for artists like 'The Chainsmokers' back in the day. Who kind of had to use it for lack of singing ability.
Dependant on how much adjustment it's given is down to personal taste I guess. I suppose it depends on whether you're just using it solely as an effect or not. Which is what I feel Blink have gone for here. Trying to keep up with the current sound but without selling out and it being completely different. It's a great album. However, looking back now it doesn't have that same impact California had. I'd choose California over Nine pretty much every time.
Also.. Agree on the charts comment too. Some songs are only in the charts because of the artists popularity and not because the song is actually any good. In my opinion Ariana Grande doesn't have very good quality songs but she's popular so it sells. Kinda rubbish but it's the world we live in these days I guess 🤦♂️🤷♂️
