I remember reading this in the manhua, it was amazing. Not yet finished though, but despite its weirdness and amazing comedy, its a pretty solid read. The main character is actually pretty mysterious in a way, he hides his pain and suffering with his laughter and pervertedness. He is selfless and kindhearted, but isn't stupid either. I really love the plot, that Zero was feared by all, in multiple planets, realms, and even by Gods and demons, but he got kicked out of his house because he was unemployed;-;.

Saitama wants two things, money and a fight to awaken his dreams of being a hero who puts their life on the line. Saitama keeps getting more money but he hasn't found a worthy opponent. Back when Saitama was training, he obviously had many fights like that and it made him feel alive whereas now he feels alienated and constantly bored.
I followed the manhua for quite sometime. really loved the story and feel of the protagonist... but like all good things it stopped being different.

It's for us to watch him climb up the ranks. And the system isn't just about strenght. I only know what I have seen here. But if I compare it to One Punch Man. There the Test was Split into knowledge and physical abilits. Saitama failed totally at the knowledge test, but beat all physical records. Normaly he wouldn't have passed the test, because you have to pass both. They made him the lowest Rank to add his power to the Agency.

Similarly, we have Saitama from OPM: Crushed every single record from the 'hero course' overwhelmingly, but absolutely fuckin' blew the writing portion.
Even more comedic is when they have these big 'fights' with these supposedly 'unbeatably strong' enemies, alongside multiple witnesses to count for, and a 'high ranking person' being defeated by said antagonist, yet after the fight, everyone just conveniently forgets it all happened at all a few chapters later, and it goes back to "our MC is so weak, man".

So, this is basically the Chinese version of one punch man. But, everyone knows how strong he is.
Its from a manhwa but no one knows he is zero.
In the manga he beats up SS ranks as if they aren't anything and then gods start showing up and he still kicks their asses with little to no effort. His power level doesn't go up or anything like that he is just too lazy to care after the death of his GF. so the title of the video is kind of wrong. it should be something like SSSSSSSSSSSS Rank Hero.
He also sold a lot of his weapons when he quit being Zero and so he doesn't have any mid or low tier weapons and the few high tier weapons that don't straight out scream Zero are sacred weapons of cults that annoyed him so they attract attention he wants to avoid. The big club he uses is one of the few spirit weapons he has that he barely ever used, it grows in strength so he continues to use it all throughout the series when he can get away with it.
Just after the anime ends is an arc (or maybe just cut from the anime I don't remember the order) where someone starts to pretend to be Zero using his old cloak that he left behind at his last mission as Zero. He also does remember a lot of the Heroes in S and SS class as little guys that took up arms shortly before he retired, the statue thing was because it was before they had their outfits and the comparison was him beating up Jörmungandr while they stopped super criminals/peons or blocked the shreds of echoes of the attacks from his battles.

Read the Manga Translations. The anime doesn't even reach the point where real world building starts to take place or the characters start to develop. There are whole side stories about his friends becoming stronger and about the MC's past that explains how and why he is the way he is... but the anime stops before even the first one. He didn't even kill the creature that called itself god, the attack he used destroys the body but frees the soul if they repent, if they don't it destroys it too. So the character repents and becomes a recurring character as a ghost and later in a new body.
Like all Chinese anime the audio sounds like being stabbed in the ears, at least to me, Korean and Japanese sound way better. A friend of mine told me some of the other eastern languages are worse but it's doubtful.

I have watched both the anime and manga and I'll say both r amazing. Although the manga was a little more action packed with some extra battles which were not in the anime. Another detail is that Dong Xue'er actually looks different in the manga . Also some of the battles r not mentioned in the manga but its not a big deal . Cant wait for season 2

yeah the manga has whole arcs about the government of their world being corrupt to all hell. They want people to start at the lowest rank for no real reason and actively stop them from advancing if they can and the person isn't bribable. A humanoid weapon slowly forming a spirit cries to the main character at one point begging to be destroyed, as it would rather die than be used by the leader of the world government.

Yeah, the Chinese language is a little jarring when I have been so used to hearing Japanese. Chinese have a ton of great stories too, I just wish they would stop trying to use so much CGI for their animation 😵

I actually do recommend this. I was reading it before it was animated. It's really hilarious because his sister admires Zero and doesn't know it's her brother. Meanwhile she kicks him around the house and calls him a bum lmao. 🙄 😆
But yeah he still had his powers he just didn't want to be a hero anymore. It actually gets really good as he manifests himself again.

@@raidthegoose7241 I would say Chapter 43 to 46-ish. This has 370+ chapters already (Haven't read the latest cause I wanted to binge it with many chapters). There's a lot of things that the Anime is cutting out because they want to fit them in a 12 episode series.

The first episode ends about 2:10 into this video, which I had already stopped around 1:48 I think, so that I could go try it myself. It starts with a LOT of exposition, but then it gets into it, and it keeps you on it, with two different action scenes, and some character expansion between the two action scenes which take up the bulk of the run time, especially that first action scene. I don't know if this is better than Spare me oh Great Lord which isn't a very good title for what that one is about, but it was an excellent first season. This one has a lot of one punch man vibes in the latter half of episode 1. Spare me is the only Chinese anime I've watched apart from one movie. At least this has better subtitles, oh god, what a learning curve.
