    I bought the exact same gun 10 years ago as my first firearm. Same colors too. I went w the 1911 for the safety features so I wouldn't shoot myself in the foot as a beginner. Excellent gun with little recoil due to the weight of the gun. My next purchase was recent of two AR15s. I've had those for almost a year and still haven't fired any rounds through them but I beat the WA ban.

      @@bretttodd6470 This 1911 is a joy to shoot, and nice luckily your picked up the ar15'a in time. I havent shot my ar15 in a while, the ammo is pricey but ima have to take it to the range soon.

    You might be pushing it to the left when you pull tigger, I say that because you said you have small hands. If you can shoot at further distance it will be easier to tell or you may need to just drift your rear sight to the right just a little, don't forget to loosen the set screw in site before you drift it.

    • @reelshooting

      @@tubeonline629 I think ur right about pushing to the left, this is a problem ive seen with many firearms and I believe its when im pulling the trigger.

    Chewed that one up pretty good. Series 70 and Series 80 are not models. Keeping things simple, though not entirely accurate, Series 70 refers to 1911s that do not feature an internal firing pin block. Your Ruger is an example of this. The Series 70 based designs are considered by many to be the preferred design. Series 80 designs do feature an internal firing pin block. There's no Series 90. 2011, refers to 1911s that feature a thicker grip and a "double-stack'" magazine that provides for more magazine capacity. My wife has owned an SR1911 for many years and considers it to be her favorite.

    The 90s 1911 was called the 1991 series.

    • @harrycallahan9733
      @harrycallahan9733 2 месяца назад

      Nope. My Colt 1911 is a "1991 series". It's basically their cheapest model, internally a series 80, externally looks like a mil-spec or GI model :)
      Seies 90 is the Colt Double Eagle, their version of a DA/SA pistol, made to look like a 1911. But for some reason they also stick this name on their Defender line at some point.
