Thank you!
You again......torturing us with dead sexy basses or guitars. Do continue. 🤣👌🎸✌️😎
Very nice job, thank you for sharing your work. Do you think all the process is optimized or could it be improved ? For example, machining the fretboard after having it glued on the neck ?
I was wondering about that too. Some builders can do this because they have experience and know what needs precision attention and what does not. I used toothpicks to align my fret slots to the neck centerline precisely and then routed the outside of the board like you said.
I always worry about the truss rod rattling inside the neck after gluing the fretboard on and before tightening the truss rod. How do you make sure yours do not rattle. I guess it can probably be silenced by tightening it and putting on the strings, but still.
By putting a dap of silicone coulk on the trussrods end.
@@aether_antares7761 On my first one, I did put a few dabs (probably not enough), but it still rattles without string tension. I cut the slot width perfectly, but I think I was just a hair too deep due to the end blocks not being flush. On the next build, I'll put more and also a thin strip of hardwood over the truss rod before gluing.
