I was probably 6-8 years old when this happened. My dad was a friend of Warner and helped with the filming of this episode driving the semi as it approached the accident during the filming. I remember it so well sitting on the hillside with my family watching them launch the trucks (3 if i remember right) off the side of the road, lighting them on fire and flight for life landing. Warren was a good man and a good friend to my father.

Witnessed a truck flip over on a bad hairpin turn where I used to live a few years ago. Little did I know it was a friend of mine who flipped. I ran as hard as I could with a fire extinguisher in hand across 2 acres to reach where he was thrown from out of his seatbelt and landed in a pool of hot oil and glass and fuel.. thankfully he survived with a few bad cuts and a broken arm. From that day on, I have always kept a fire extinguisher in my car and truck, you never know when you or someone else will need it. I would risk my life to save anyone in an accident.

I know this happened more than 30 years ago but the people who didn't help and just stood there and watched should be ashamed of themselves. And also telling those men to give up and let that guy burn inside his truck...no words. I can't imagine how angry that guy's parents must have felt knowing that bystanders just stood there without helping and watched their son potentially burn to death.
