    Organic farming is awesome, but also very important is the origins of the seeds and animals. Are they NON GMO or not.
    This is key.

    Dextor the moment there is a opening in the mud pond, the fishes tend to go out in search of greener pastures. I am sure you will find this soon. The moment it rains and water level raises, the fishes will be off.

    It’s what they feed these farm tilapias that makes it dangerous to eat this fish. Concentrations of toxins and chemicals in the body of the fish. Otherwise it’s an awesome fish.

  • @user-eh2tg1ss3u
    @user-eh2tg1ss3u 7 месяцев назад

    Congratulation Mr Dexter. Indeed you have a beautiful area for your farming and residence as well. Though it looks swampy how do you handle the area during rain season? All the telapia are not at risk of being wiped away by massive water?

    Dear Dexter i am your very old subscriber and watch all your videos regularly love and respect from Pakistan, Brother i need your guidance please , i breed Betta fish but despite giving live food the size of my Betta fishes is not growing . Please help if there is any medicine or any food that i can give to my Betta fishes to increase their size . Thanks a lot for making such informative videos

    • @MJAquatics
      @MJAquatics 7 месяцев назад +1

      The tank size and cleanliness of the water is also particularly important for raising bettas and other types of ornamental fish. :) Try to increase the size of the tank or pond you are currently using and make sure that the water is clean. Too big of a tank/pond and it will be difficult for the betta fry to find the food. Too small of a tank/pond and it will not allow the betta fry to grow well.
      What I do is when the fry is around 1-3 weeks old, I feed them Moina or brine shrimp. After that I started feeding them tubifex worms. I will do that until the gender can be identified and start the jarring/bottling process to separate the males. I continue to feed them live food until they reach the size I am happy with and switch to pellets to save money because live food is not abundant where I live.
      Hope this helps!

      @MJAquatics Thank you for your prompt response, i am using 9 inch length 6 inch height cube shape glass tanks and changing 25% water every 3 days , yes i use live brine shrimp and after 3 weeks i give Daphnia small size still no success it's been 3 years i am trying to raise and breed but till date i am unable to get the desired size so i can sell them commercially. I have plenty all are in good fins shape and healthy but 0 size 😄

    • @MJAquatics
      @MJAquatics 7 месяцев назад

      Unfortunately, your current tank is too small. It barely hold 2 gallons. I suggest you get yourself a 20 gallon tank to start with (24 inch x 12 inch x 16 inch) LWH. At 1-3 weeks old fry, you can fill the 20 gallon tank by half so that it will be easy for the fry to come up the water surface and breathe. Once they’re a bit bigger, you can fill the tank to maximum capacity. From experience, you can grow betta fry this way.
      Also, you can build a pond using wood and tarpaulins as materials if you have the space for it. Dexter has a lot of video tutorials about how to build one.

    Some of those areas honestly look snakey for venomous snakes to me.. Must be careful.. What predatores in your area do you have to look out for, that are dangerous to you personally or your staff, Maybe your animals.. in your area?
