Volleyball is no fun at all. The net is too low, everyone can spike easily. Make it 3.30m high at least. Currently volley net for men is only 2.43m high. Basket ball the rim is 3.05m high.

Keith Lee they cant spike easily if there's people blocking. in basketball people can get their forearms above the rim but not very rarely. thats like asking to raise the rim because mostly everyone in the nba can dunk. raising the net wouldnt really do anything besides making the net clearance by jumping, smaller. for every hitter there is an equally skilled blocker and a backrow passer able to recieve those kinds of hits so everything can cancel out nicely

Paul Link hmm i do not totally disagree with him, as you can see from the olympic standard volleyball, every single player can get their heads above the net, even liberos. I just feel that making the men's olympic net 2.50m would regulate the standards of professional volleyball, and add a little more challenge towards hitting or serving over the net height. I know that blockers are there to narrow the angle of hitting area, but if the blockers are caught by a decoy, a free swing for players that are capable of 3rd metre spikes is just impossible to stop. hence, i think raising the height by a bit can make the game a little more competitive and enjoyable at that level.

Look, Keith Lee, in the volleyball the net is 2.46 m high, in basketball, the basket is as high as you say. These people have learned to spike over the net, not because the net is low, but because they have learned to do it.

​@@giorgiochiarappa7601if you are 2.20 meters tall (and this is something common in the NBA, for a starter...), you LITERALLY can outreach the net with your extended arm already... The argument of raising the net makes sense. Of course, 3.30 meters Is BS, but 2,55 ish...;)
