- Finance Entrepreneur Dr Roger Gewolb discusses the “shocking” footage released by families of Israeli hostages.
The families of five female Israeli soldiers held hostage by Hamas have released a graphic video showing their abduction.
They labelled it a damning testament to the nation’s failure to bring home the hostages.
“The worst parts of that video which are really horrific have been removed,” Dr Gewolb told Sky News host Gabriella Power.
“It is really shocking.
“Hopefully it will bring the hostages to the attention of all the people who are demanding a ceasefire and the rest.”
Women should be worried about the future of their freedom if this Islamic movement continues.

One of the differences between Israel and Hamas is that Israel didn't want this war, and still doesn't. Nobody wanted it. Everybody is traumatized by it. And everything that Israel is doing is to ensure that it never happens again. Because the only way for it to never happen again is if hamas ceases to be. Every other option will just lead to more suffering and deathes in the future, on both sides. And for that to happen Israel is trying to dismantle hamas and target the terrorists, but its very hard to avoid civilian casualties when the terrorists use their own people as humen shields. Another difference between the two is that Israel at least tries to protect its people, while hamas actually does every effort to put its own people in harm's way just to make Israel look as bad as possible.
And also, Israel does make efforts to decrease harm to gazan civilians. I know that there are people who claim that Israel doesn't do enough to decrease harm to gazan civilians, but:
1. It's very hard to protect the other side's civilians when the other side itself uses its own civilians as human shields and stills aid from them.
2. I don't think it's possible to judge and say Israel is not doing enough effort to protect gazan civilians, because I don't think any other country has ever been in Israel's place and had to protect both its people and the enemy's people during war with an enemy who actually makes it even harder to protect its own people by using them as humen shields. When judging efforts its not enough to look only at the results. Failure to achieve a good result is not always due to lack of effort. Sometimes there are other factors. And in this case, there definitely are.

We should show Islam the exact same tolerance they would show Christianity in Iran, Saudi, and other Islamic countries.
We missed a chance with Israel/Palestine conflict. Oct 7 could have been an opportunity for the world at large to force some kind of resolution or at the very least have our universities debate the issue. Instead we have a very Hamas themed position being protested for; namely that Israel should not exist. This is not going to happen so the protests are a waste of everyone's time, especially those who want peace in the middle east.
It annoys me that the anchor woman is smiling as if she's amused the entire time.
